Everyone settled around the huge dining table in the banquet hall, specially designed and reserved for small feasts and gatherings, such as this one. Everyone here was either a member of the royal family or important to them. Madeline was dressed in one of her best blue gowns, Edward looked as charming as he always was, so did the rest of his sons. Albert did not know why he had to sit through this torture, since he had rather hoped Lancelot would fail. But Hermione had insisted it was important to act as though they were on Roxanne's side. Elizabeth and her mother were beautifully dressed. The two elderly women of the house; lady Eloise and Lady Marion were not left out of the elegance spree. Richard, Bailey and Reuben were present as well. And so was every member of the council. Each, sat down, drank, laughed out loud and was merry. As they feasted, Ava leaned into Lancelot, who was seated by her side. He had not said a word or spoken to anyone except he was asked a question. Ev

"Get rid of those clothes immediately." The head maid, Marilyn, spoke harshly, while sending daggers in glares towards Roxanne. Confused, Roxanne looked up at the woman. She was at a loss for both words and actions, and she was also genuinely tired of being here. Nothing she did seemed to please Marilyn, or pacify any of the maids for whatever she had done. It was crazy. She had never met or spoken to any of them before now. Yet, they collectively seemed to despise her. After she got here last night, she was made to sleep on the shaky bunk and Roxanne spent all night worrying if the wooden bunk would collapse and send her to the floor. That would be death, she thought. Considering how high the bunk beds were. It was funny, how she thought she would return to the palace and have a good rest. Little did she know, that the worst of it all had been in front, waiting patiently for her. Roxanne could still remember being woken up by the feeling of cold water being splashed on her face. A

"I just want to go home." She whimpered, still relaxing on Elizabeth's shoulder. The princess smiled sadly, and raised Roxanne's face to meet hers. "I know just the thing that can cheer you up." Her eyes glittered under the evening sun, and Roxanne was forced to acknowledge the princess's beauty once again. Now that she had been so kind to her, the princess looked even more beautiful. "A flight back home?" Roxanne asked, and Elizabeth chuckled, even though Roxanne hadn't meant to make a joke. "No, but a very nice place with ice cream that gives joy. Not quite far from the palace. I could take you there this evening..." She stopped when she sensed the hesitation in Roxanne's eyes. She also felt Roxanne's body grow tense and stiff. Elizabeth cast her a reassuring smile, as if saying "I have got you, trust me and you'll be okay." The princess has already been so nice to her, what bad would trusting her do? Roxanne asked herself. When she did not find an answer to the question, she

The throne room was filled to the brim of its capacity. A group of entertainers and dancers performed in the center of the room, while chairs and tables were arranged around them. On each of these tables were the finest of grape fruit, strawberries, cakes, lemonade drinks, wine and champagne in all of Europe. The event had begun in full swing. Alpha Edward had given his welcome toast, the Luna queen had already read ber welcome speech, before the entertainment began. This was the last performance before it would be time for Edward to pass the crown to his son, Lancelot Dankworth. Members of the Dankworth royal family were seated around one table, all dressed in glamourous attires they had prepared for this occassion. From Madeline, to her husband, to sons and other members of their extended family. Every eye in the room could see that the Dankworth's had prepared for this occassion all their lives. The hall was filled with dignitaries from all over the continent. Alphas and Lunas o

He bursted through the gate, with no regards for either the gate, or what it did to the front of the car. Lancelot pushed his feet harder against the accelerator, charging up the speed of his car as he drove past the fence of bushes in the palace. A part of his gaze focused on the piece of clothing that would help him find her, while the rest of his gaze was focused on the road. He knew he had to be quick, there was barely anytime left. His heart continued to thunder against the surface of his chest, threatening to pop out of it. He was almost breathless with rage, and pressed the automatic button on his door that took the windows down. The artificial air of the air conditioner was not soothing enough for him. Within him, Ziko was even more restless. His wolf had been growling and pacing about since he found out about Roxanne. The thought of her being tortured sent him spiralling towards the edge, all strings holding his temper back had been severed. When Ziko finally got a hold on
