She was breathing heavily and looked like she was ready to devour any one that came her way. So that wasn't it, this is how I would be beaten up mercilessly by my fellow girl for something I knew nothing about. I thought of my parents, they would be thinking their daughter is safe in the hostel, my dad would be very disappointed if he ever finds out I got entangled in this kind of shit.I thought of Daniel, does he even know what he had actually gotten me into, if not something worse I I might as well get scar that might never leave my body. What kind of business did he have to do with these dangerous looking men. didn't actually want to think or imagine that Daniel was actually a bad guy or worked for bad guys, I trusted him much and dreaded the idea of him engaging in any fraudulent activities.Throwing away his cigarette he whispered to the scary looking girl and was about to leave when I shouted behind him."How has all this got to do with me, and how do you know hurting me

I looked away as he continued staring at me unblinking. I was kind of relieved that Daniel had managed to do something even if it was not complete yet at least I had hope of leaving this miserable place soon. I pray nothing would ever make me find myself in this kind of place and condition again.Coming close to me held me on my cheek where I had been hit severally and I winced backing away."Aww, what have they done to you, poor thing" He said caressing my cheeks which infuriated me."Get away from me" I said almost in a whisper, too tired to talk. He withdrew his hand immediately bringing out a cigarette from his pocket lighting it with a lighter. The smell from the flicker's of smoke filled the air. It almost choked me as I started to cough. I was not asthmatic but I was allergic to anything like smoke. I started to cough and my throat hurt so badly."Ohh, does it disturb you, sorry man" He said mockingly and continued with what he was doing. My phone rang again and he quickly wen

picking up a cigarette from his breast pocket he pulled it out for the other guy to light and he did stepping back again. He steadied his gaze on me for a while without saying any word. I looked at each of their faces searchingly and then removed my eyes. Suddenly he began to laugh widely clapping his hands. This man was really a psychopath, I thought looking down at my feet. The other man came towards me and bent down loosing the right rope that was tied to my ankle and my legs were free, I had been bound both hands leg's for almost four days. I looked at him wide eyed as he did that, does that mean I would soon be leaving. By then the psycho man had stopped laughing and say leaned over the wall.He proceeded to my hands loosing them slowly and my hands were free. The first thing I did when he let loose of my hands wat to scratch my body that had been itching me. Even though he loosened my hands and feet and it looked like something good had happened I still expected the wors

Standing up, he went towards the fridge to get the glass of water. Cool breeze started to blow and then it became more intense and the weather also started to change like it was going to rain. After drinking the water the head ache seems to subside. Just as I though, it began to rain heavily after some minutes with loud thunder and lightening, the thunder roared like an angry mighty king who was pouring his wrath on his people. When I was little I always thought the sound of thunder was God roaring angrily from heaven upon the earth because of the sins of the world. The weather was extremely cold now and I had Daniel join me on the bed. I rested my head on his chest as we lay down together, and all the cold were gone."Daniel? I called out after some minutes. I was tired but still couldn't fall asleep."Yes? He replied rubbing my shoulder."I wanted to know if you had fallen asleep" I said."I am fully awake and not feeling sleepy a bit" He replied.I strained my ears a little to

Dialling my auntie's number to call her, she picked up immediately it rang as if she had been on guard expecting the call. It was my dad's elder sister which had never gotten married.Rumours had it that she rejected every suitors that came her way when she was young and not only did she do that, she also said rude words to them before doing that and preferred dating married men. That was a long time ago when marriage was one thing that defined and made a woman complete. During those days women who clocked thirty without getting married were seen as failures in and kindred they hailed from, and it was a taboo to remain in ones father's land at that age. She was a very beautiful lady then and suitors trooped in her father's house daily and no one seemed to be good enough for her.And finally she had never gotten married and was now in her late fifties. To me marriage was important but it was not the most important thing in a person's Life. Being successful and happy with one's self was
