Chaos's POV ."How is she?" I asked from the healer for the third or fourth time, impatient to know the answer.Since the moment she collapsed on the forest floor, heavily bleeding through her privates, I felt like something had gone terribly wrong. And after three hours, there is still no sign of her waking up."Alpha... It's... I-""What's wrong?" When the healer struggles to answer Anubis's commanding tone rang out, startling the life out of her."F-forgive me second alpha... But... It seemed like lady Eva had been pregnant when she went through the shift... and now-""She's pregnant?" I chimed in excitedly only to feel disappointment in the next second."She was pregnant-" Without a seconds delay, the healer corrected me and continued her explanation."-Unless necessary, no female wolf would dare to shift during pregnancy because it's risky for the baby and you wouldn't need me to tell how dangerous the first shift could be for a pregnant lady.""What- what are you trying to say?

Eva's POV ."That's it! I'm going to drag you out with me today!!" Ezra bellowed as he crash landed into my room. It's been almost a week since I came back with Chaos and I have yet to step foot outside the house to explore the territory. Every day, it's either going down to have meals or spending the whole day in my room reading books rather than spending time with Chaos or any other. The pack members didn't seem to notice my presence either since I never bumped into anyone other than the house maids who work here. But now... It seems like Ezra had enough of my seclusion."I won't." Moving away from his grasp, I refused without hesitation. It doesn't matter how comfortable I've become around him, Theo, Chaos and Thea, I would definitely move right into that shell the moment I had to deal with new people. For example, the maids who work here... I would never come down whenever they are around and wouldn't allow them to enter my room either. So, how does this crazy beta think going

Eva's POV .After Razna's little stunt yesterday, she insisted on merging our personalities and attitudes as a preparation for the future. It wasn't something that the wolves in our minds would dare to suggest because it limits their performance as a separate person in our consciousness and once it's done, it was almost like there were no different consciousnesses in the same mind whatsoever. Yet, she needed to do so in order to prevent me from being bullied by others in future. And Chaos also asked permission to introduce me to the pack as his mate only to get brutally rejected by me.Whatever his pack members say, I didn't want to be dragged into that mess until Chaos and I could sort our relationship problems over. On the other hand, Anubis didn't think that it would be safe for me to be revealed as an alpha female either. Besides, who knows how many enemies Chaos have? "How have you been there?" Anubis asked, pulling me away from my wandering thoughts."I'm fine. You don't nee

Eva's POV .'Am I dead?' That's the first thought that came into my mind the moment I opened my eyes.Whether I opened my eyes or not, it didn't seem like a problem since it was totally dark wherever it was. It also felt quiet suffocating without the feeling of my wolf's presence and everything was eerily quiet without her."Hello..? Anybody there..?" I called, but my voice didn't sound strong enough to be heard by anyone other than me.What happened before I lost consciousness? Did I really die?"Ah, the sleeping beauty is finally awake!" A familiar voice rang out suddenly and I saw a figure walking towards me with a large candle in their hand."I thought you would sleep for few more days with the current state of your body." He said, finally reaching into my view."Chaos... Where am I?" I asked, trying to reach out for him. But a sudden pain at my side froze me in mid action, reminding me of my wound."Where do you think this is?" He questioned back emotionlessly, as if he didn't s

Chaos's POV ."I...will NOT say... anything... until I am allowed... to see her." As always she demanded stubbornly without a seconds delay."I see... Still refuse to give up. Really woman? How stubborn can you be?" I asked, annoyed with her behavior. With all those wounds and sliver chains burning through her skin, she still managed to demand to see her but for a more than whole week, I didn't even think of paying attention to her. "Why do you always demand to see her? You are already covered in blood and you still want to see her? Don't you think it will be easier for you to save your life if you answer my questions?" I asked, curious to know why she act the way she did for the past ten days."I don't care what you do to me. I only want to make sure that the princess is okay." After spitting some blood, she replied coldly as if she sees me as a threat to her 'princess'."How come you are so loyal to her? And why are you keep calling her princess from time to time?""Let me see her
