Losing the Lonely のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 31 - チャプター 40

LaraYou guys are spoiling me. I'll see you in the morning, “I said to Orion and Crown as I was getting out of the car by the emergency room. “We’ll be here waiting,” Orion said. Crown who was sitting in back also got out. He smiled at me, and I gave him a hug. I don’t know why I did that, but I did. Then he got into the passenger seat, and I closed the car door. My hand lifted to give a little wave to both of them, then I turned to walk into the hospital. They both have been treating me like we've known each other for a long time. Well, I guess we have, but we haven't spent time together. “Are you a threesome now,” I heard from behind me but I didn't turn around. The giggles that followed the voice was very mischievous, so I started to giggle too. A woman’s arm linked with mine as I was walking. “Well, that would be a nice idea. Wouldn't it,” I replied. Then, I stopped walking, turned my head to look at Shan. “I can't believe I just said that,” I mused with a shocked lo

Mr. GreenSir, the information I found seems normal. Nothing threatening or weird,” Taryn reported. I have a private office here in the hospital. It has never been used until now. “Hmm. What do you think of this report,” I asked Taryn. “They know how to keep clean. No incidents at all,” he answered. “Hmm,” was all I could respond with. After a few moments I said, “that’s all for now.” “Yes, sir,” Taryn said as he turned and walked out of the office. As I sat here, my mind drifted back to the beginning. Life was simple, but I was full of ambition. I wanted to leave a legacy for my family to want for nothing. Now that I’m here, grass is not always greener. The more wealth you have, the deeper you slip into the cesspit of snakes trying to take everything away from you. You are constantly on eggshells, calculating every move, every word, and every appearance. The more I gained, the more suspicious I became of everyone. My trusted circle got smaller and smaller. Taryn is my m

Lara “I’m so glad this night is over,” Dani said from behind me. Dani, Maria, Shan, Nelly, and I were in the elevator itching to leave this place. Our shift is over, and we want to get out of here. Tonight, was weird like there was a full moon. I mean, it’s like all the crazies came out tonight. All of us agreed with whatever noise we could muster. Bing! The elevator door opened, and we all walked briskly to the exit. The ladies knew I was getting picked up, so they walked me out of the main entrance first. Nosy ladies, I thought. “Oh my goodness,” I heard Nelly say. “Damn” Maria said. “It’s so not fair,” Dani said. The thing is they said it all at the same time and I was confused, while Shan was laughing. I looked at her with my right eyebrow lifted. Shan moved her head in a certain direction. My eyes followed her movement and then I saw them. The two of them were leaning against the car, legs crossed at the ankles, arms folded across their chests. A sigh slipped

Orion“It looks like we both don’t have an appetite,” I said. “Hmm,” Crown responded back to me. “Stop stalling,” I said perturbed. Crown breathed in and out deeply. “Marcus was in prison for killing his sister,” he said in a low voice. “I gathered that much on my own,” I replied dryly. “He was pretty young. 15 years old. His sentence was harsh. First degree murder,” Crown started to say but I cut him off. “No, second degree murder,” I said. “His report says first degree murder,” he replied. “Then how does a 15-year-old go to prison thinking he was charged with second degree murder,” I asked. Crown only stared at me. Blink. Blink, blink his eyes went. “Dude, what’s up,” I asked. “You’re telling me Marcus thinks he went to prison for second degree murder for killing his sister,” he asked me. “That’s what he said,” I told him. “What brought up you asking about Marcus,” he asked. “Marcus asked what I would do if I saw someone I thought was dead. From what Marcus had ment

Lara Shan and I was walking out of the locker room. “Hey! Wait for us,” we called out to Nelly, Cherry, Maria, and Dani. Apparently, Cherry, Maria, and Dani finished their rounds early. Nelly had waited for them. We were the last to get back. Not that we finished late, we just didn’t get finished as fast. “Well hurry up ladies and get out of here,” Dani said in urgency. Shan and I hastened our strides. “What’s the hurry,” Shan asked. “I overheard that 2 day phlebs called in sick,” Dani said. “Oh geez. Why do they always rely on the overnight crew to cover every other shift. That’s annoying,” I said in a dry tone. The overnight shift gets called to cover other shifts quite often. As if working overnight isn’t hard already. “Good call,” I said. Bing, the elevator sounded. We all rushed into the elevator taking up ¾ of the space. “So, let’s do breakfast,” Dani asked the group. “I can’t today. Rain check,” Nelly said. “I can’t either,” I said. “Ladies,” Dani asked
