"Guys you know what, I have a f*cking friend who is like a leech who will do everything for the sake of money. But sorry not sorry, I am not going to make her shine brighter than me!"I know that I am the one she is referring to but I pretended to just smile. Deep inside I am aware that she is referring to me. Hailey is neither drunk nor out of her mind so I cannot understand why she suddenly changed her attitude towards me. It does not make any sense.Unfortunately, Hailey got drunk and she unexpectedly opened up her problems to her friends. "You know what, I am honestly disappointed that my ex-boyfriend no longer has feelings for me and all I can do now is for them to admit that they are in a relationship!"Damn! I have never thought that Hailey already knows that I am in a relationship with Nick. Now, I don't have any friends so I went to the bathroom and called Nick. "Hello?" I said to him. "Hello Stella, are you having fun there?" he asked. "I hope that is true but I am havin

The days passed and Hailey kept on being cold to me, on the contrary, my constant interaction with my father makes me realize that it is time to let go of my anger and personally talk to my mom. "Do you have a time? I would like to talk to you, Mom!" I said after going back to my work. She pulled out a chair for me and let me sit. "You looked so serious, Stella! Please have a sit!"I sat on the chair and took a deep sigh before speaking to my mom. "What is going on?" she asked after seating in front of me."Mom, can we talk about my father? I mean, this is regarding our plans!""And what about our plan?""Mom, you are already happy with the man that you have right now and I am so glad with the blessings that we received!""What is your point exactly?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest. "I think this is the right time to forgive my father... I mean, we should move on with our life right now!""Do you hear yourself, Stella? Have you forgotten that your father abandoned you

This time, I could feel the rising tension happening inside Hailey's office. I wanted to leave but I know I am the only one who can calm them down!"Hailey, I beg you not to yell at your father. He has a heart condition which will get worse if he continue stressing himself. If you want, I can resign from my position and you will never see me again!"Hailey left her office without saying any words. I looked at Sir Joseph and he spoke to me with a calm voice. "Stella, I am so sorry for what you have witnessed! As the president of this company, I highly regarded employees as the best asset of my team and I put all those who worked hard in a higher position!""But what about Hailey sir? I know that she worked really hard for her position as well and that is a fact!""Don't mind about Hailey, she is not as smart as you. Even though she is my daughter, I know that she is not qualified enough to become the Chief Marketing Officer and you obviously have the potential to become one!"I am not

Nick looked at me with hesitation. "But Stella, are you really sure about it?"I smiled at him with teeth out. "Of course I am! It will not take too long, I swear!"I put my phone on the table to record the conversation between Hailey and Nick. I dragged my feet towards towards the line and I could not help but to stare at them. I was kind of nervous because they seemed so comfortable with each other. But I have them monitored and later after my work, I will play my recording of their conversation. A few minutes later, I went back to our table and I immediately put my phone inside my pocket. I immediately kissed Nick on his cheeks and asked him. "Did you miss me?""How can I not?" he said."So may I know what you were talking about earlier with Hailey? Based on what I have seen, you two are getting along with each other so well already!"Hailey gave me a long face. "What the hell are you talking about? Are you feeling jealous over shallow things? We only talked about our past memorie

"But when I confronted him earlier about this, he does not want to talk! And I am afraid that this is not the first time it will happen!""I understand where you are coming from, but it really needs a teamwork in order for a relationship to work. Try to talk to him if that what makes you comfortable!""How about you, if you were in the same position, are you going to confront the person who is flirting with mom or are you going to talk to her directly?""I will choose to talk to both of them since they are doing it together. However, I trusted your mom because she is matured enough to handle a relationship. This is totally different in your age, Stella. Your boyfriend is handsome and I know that there are many women who will try to steal him from you and it's gonna be challenging to trust him! But as I said, as long as he is not cheating with another woman or a gay, you need to put your trust in him!""Thank you, Peter! I know that you've got problems on your own but you still choose
