This is my fight, Davion

OLIVIA.Davion forcefully pushed his hands away "Who gave you the right to lay your hands on her?" He questioned Clinton who shifted his gaze from me to the man who had just intercepted his plan to hit me."And who do you think you are?" Clinton asked through gritted teeth. "Let me guess, you're the new man she's been sleeping with aren't you? Mr Davion Hendrickson?" He gave a faux smile. "You’re quite popular on the internet. How shameless. Aren't you aware that she's a married woman?"Davion chuckled at his outburst in a mocking manner "Married? You're the one to talk. I've heard about you, Mr Clinton. Aren't you the same person who cheated on your wife and opted for a divorce?" He asked and I stared at him wide-eyed. How on earth did he come across such information?I was pretty certain that I hadn't mentioned that part of my life to him? How was he able to figure me out? I haven't even processed the fact that he had driven me here to Kruger for dad's trial. How did he know that I

Sleep with me, Olivia

OLIVIA.Ignoring Davion's outburst, I fearlessly approached our house with nothing but the sole purpose of getting through. I won't let them treat my father like garbage. Clinton had planned all of this. I was pretty certain that he had also arranged for the underground evidence to be brought to Court. He might've fooled the other judges but he most definitely cannot fool me. I would go inside and see for myself where exactly the money was dug out from.Standing in front of the yellow tape that sealed off the area, I rubbed my arms against each other to create warmth and friction as the heavy rain drenched my clothes. I shivered but refused to back down.Reaching for the tape, I lifted it and made my way through. I glanced back at Davion to see that he was still in his car. I was grateful that he didn't follow me. It was much better this way.I am about to march towards the front porch when I heard the blazing sound of sirens coming from afar. At first, I tried to ignore but it only g

OLIVIA."D-Davion?" I called out, stunned that he was standing in front of me. How on earth did he get here? More important question, why do I keep bumping into him at the slightest? Why was he here out of all the hotels that he could've gotten at anywhere in Kruger with his money and influence. Was he here to meet someone or did he follow her here?I suddenly felt irritated. The rich always seemed to have it easy in life while I was always struggling to get even the slightest help when I wanted it.Snatching my eyes away from his his, I turned to my heels and made it out of the hotel but he chased after me and grabbed my hands forcefully causing my breath to hitch."Let go, Now!" I yelled at him but he wouldn't listen. I tried to pull my hands away from his but he only held on tighter so that I couldn't move or get away."Olivia—""Let me go Davion. Please!" I pleaded, the tears suddenly burning my vision. "Just let me go.""I can't Olivia and I won't." He deadpanned. "Why should I i

Stay Away!

DAVION."When will you be back?" Karla, my secretary asked and I brushed off the question like it never came."I'm busy with urgent business Karla. My coming has nothing to do with your job or anyone else." I picked up a mug of coffee from my table and took a sip."Urgent business?" She questioned "What kind of urgent business that I don't know anything about? I'm your secretary and if there's anyone who should be aware of your schedule and business then it's me but so far, I know nothing.""Something came up Karla so I had to take care of it myself. It's not in your job description that the CEO should report all his whereabouts to his secretary.""It's her isn't it?" She blurted out "The woman from the internet, she's the one whom you wemt to see right? Your important business project."I rolled my eyes at her sarcastic comment. "And what if I say she is?" I countered. "It's not like anyone would say anything about it.""She's a nobody and you two would have to go through another rou

Blaming him

OLIVIA.I bit down my lips nervously. What have I gotten myself into now? What prompted me to go into his room in the first place? How on earth did I get stuck with this guy again, in this bedroom, for the second time? What if someone realizes that I'm in here and decides to cause a rukus? How would I manage?"I have to go Davion. My friend is waiting for me." I tried to sway him into letting me leave but I knew that he wouldn't let me go. Davion had a mind of it's own and getting him to agree to any of this is just pointless."If she was then she'd be out searching for you by now.""And how would she find me when she has no idea that I'm here in your bedroom at the moment?" I threw him a fierce look."That's why you need to have coffee with me so that you can go and meet your friend. You were the one who willingly came into my bedroom, it's not like I forced you to." He turned to his table to set up the cups and mix the coffee."Trust me, they have the best coffee in this hotel. One

Not going back to Clinton

OLIVIA.I woke up the next day feeling tired and utterly disoriented and famished. Forcing my eyelids open, I realized that I had woken up on the bed. That's strange. I knew that I had slept on the couch the previous night so why and how did I end up here.I scanned the bedroom and spotted Davion on the couch. Did he give up his bed for me? Anxious, I double checked myself to see if something had happened between us last night. I mean we weren't drunk so there was no reason for something to happen to us but I didn't want to take any chances. The last time we were together alone, we had gotten intimate and it happened because both of us were drunk out of our minds.I rolled out of bed quietly so that I don't stir him awake and make for my flip flops. I wore them and tiptoed towards to the bed. I twisted the door knob and a certain kind of relief coursed through me when it gave way.Maybe he opened it himself while I was sleeping. Either ways, I'm grateful that he did. At least I won't

Judging them

OLIVIA.I woke up feeling dreadful that it was Monday. The weekend had flown by so quickly and the thought of going back to work was daunting. I groaned as I reluctantly dragged myself out of bed and trudged into the bathroom. As I stood in the shower, I couldn't help but think about all the things I'd rather be doing than going to work. Maybe I could be lounging on a beach somewhere or binge-watching my favorite TV show. But no, I had to be an adult and go to work like everyone else. After my shower, I went through my usual morning routine of brushing my teeth and getting dressed. For work, I typically wear a professional yet comfortable outfit. Today was no exception. I opted for a navy blue pencil skirt that fell just above my knees, paired with a cream-colored blouse. The blouse had a delicate lace collar and a subtle pattern that added a touch of elegance to the overall look.I completed the outfit with a pair of black pumps, which were a staple in my work wardrobe. They were co

OLIVIA'S POV.I stood on the side of the road, my mind reeling with disbelief. I had just been fired from my job, and the shock of it was still resonating through every fiber of my being. As I stood there, lost in thought, I barely noticed the passing cars, their headlights blurring together into a chaotic mess of light and sound. And then, out of nowhere, a car swerved towards me, narrowly missing me as I stumbled back in shock. My heart was pounding in my chest, and I could feel my breath coming in short, sharp gasps. For a moment, I was frozen in place, my mind struggling to catch up with the reality of what had just happened. But as the car sped off into the distance, I knew that I needed to pull myself together. With shaky legs, I stumbled over to a nearby bench and collapsed onto it, my head in my hands. The world around me seemed to be spinning, the sounds of traffic and the smell of exhaust fumes all blending together into an overwhelming cacophony. As I sat there, trying to g

OLIVIA'S POV.I took a deep breath and looked up at the plaque on the wall once more. My eyes scanned Davion's face, and I felt bile rise in my throat. I couldn't work for a man like him, no matter how much money he promised to pay me."I quit," I said, my voice coming out stronger than I thought it would. The woman who had been interviewing me raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me?""I said I quit," I repeated, feeling a surge of satisfaction. "I don't want to work for a company with a bratty and pompous CEO."The woman seemed taken aback, as though she had never heard of such a thing before. "But... you haven't even started working yet.""I don't care," I said, my tone firm. "I refuse to be a part of this company."I grabbed my bag and stood up, my heart pounding. I had no idea what I was going to do now, but I knew that I couldn't work for Davion. As I stomped out of the building, I cursed Karma for always coming my way. Why couldn't I catch a break?I didn't stop walking until I was a goo

OLIVIA’S POVAs I walked into the company, I could already feel the frustration building up inside me. I had already been turned down by so many companies, and it was beginning to feel like I would never get a job. The thought of going through another rejection made my heart ache.I tried to hold back my tears, but I couldn't. I felt so weak and vulnerable. The workers looked at me with concern, but I just wanted to be left alone. I walked past them, trying to keep my head down, but I couldn't help but feel their eyes on me."Is everything okay?" one of them asked."Mind your business!" I yelled back, feeling frustrated and embarrassed. I stormed off, not even looking back to see their reactions. As I walked out of the building, my tears began to flow freely. I couldn't believe I had yelled at those workers like that. They were just trying to help, but I couldn't see past my frustration.I took a deep breath and tried to compose myself, but my heart was still racing. I didn't know wha
