SILAS'S POV I paced around my chambers. It has been over three days that father has been in a comatose state. There has been a slow, but steady improvement in the Alpha's health. The poison was a very lethal one, so it is taking a while for his body to reject it. What will then happen when he wakes up and realises that I have been his son all the while? Will he banish me like he did my mother or will he have me executed? As much as I'm worried about that, I'm also worried about my own self. It has been days since my inner beast was unleashed and the darkness of the orb came out too, I need to find a way to keep it at bay again. I need to find the springs of Zadia again. It's only a few days to winter and I have been kept on a strict surveillance. How will I be able to get out of the kingdom without being stopped or followed? I don't know how to do it at all.The only way I can do that is by taking the secret tunnel in the Alpha's chambers. It was the same one that Saul and I used to

SILAS'S POV “Welcome, the chosen one. We have been waiting for you for centuries. Where have you been all these while?”Their leader announced and they all cheered as though I was their god. I looked at them and I noticed that they looked more like fanatics than just regular creatures.“What the fuck are you talking about? And who the fuck are you guys?”I queried him.“My name is Cole and we are the followers of the dark one and we have waited for centuries for you to appear before us.”Their leader introduced and they continued making those irritating chants again that I was bewildered. I thought centaurs are meant to be powerfully intelligent? These ones look so incredibly stupid.“So, if you say that I am that dark one that you are imagining in your minds, why do you have me drugged and tied to a tree? Why am I not free?”I asked Cole.He walked up closer to me as if he wanted to whisper.“We are sorry for the I'll treatment that we gave you. We are only protecting you and also p

SILAS'S POV The cooling sensation of water woke me up as it splashed on me violently. I woke up, coughing and gasping for air. I looked around me. I was still at the springs of Zadia. I remembered a few things that happened just before I got knocked out cold. I had just seen my brother, Saul. He had gotten out of the forest of Koda and he deemed it fit to pay me a visit.I looked around me. I was tied up to a stake. I struggled a bit, but the effect of the drug was still there. I was not in my full strength at that time. It still a struggle for me to break free from this rope.“Saul!”I called out after him. I got no response.“Where are you?”I insisted, but there was no response. I tried struggling out of it again, but it was too secure for me.“What the fuck do you want from me?”I cried out, frustrated. I began to hear movements from behind my back. I could not fully look behind me, so I did not see him.“Look brother, we can talk about this. Let's talk about this.”I tried to ta

SARA'S POV “I will never let anything happen to you. Not Silas, not the Luna or anyone else. I'm here for you all the way.”I was saying to my own father as I looked at him. I can't believe that I almost absconded with Silas a few weeks ago because I was upset with him. What if something worse had happened to him when we left? Why if Silas was not there to protect him because I was just selfish and wanted him all to myself?“I'm sorry, father. I'm sorry for trying to run away. I don't know what I was thinking.”I said, crying to him. Now to think of it, how much can I even trust Silas? Is that why he changed his behaviour towards me when he first found out that I'm his sister? Or am I just truly imagining things? Is he really my own half brother? If that is true, it has got to be very sickening and any feelings I have for him my be dropped now.“No! He can't be my brother.”I said, decisively. I have really fallen for him too much to believe that he may actually even be my brother. I

SILAS'S POV“You are not the saviour of the world; you are the saviour of the witches. You are the Hannuk.”Agnes laughter echoed around the void, so did the others that were with her too. This was a very uncomfortable situation, but I will find a way.“So, what now?”I asked her.“Now, we are glad that we lured you here. This will give us the full ground to possess your body and you will be just like a puppet to bring salvation to my own tribe.”They began to laugh hysterically again. They just basked in the laughter that I even began to chuckle too. When they were done, I started my own round of laughter too. This made them all quiet and Agnes looked quite confused. She didn't know what game I was playing. Even I did not know what I was doing at that moment. I just needed to stall to find the right hack.“What are you doing?”Agnes asked me.“Well, I'm laughing. Am I not supposed to laugh at the whole joke that is going on all around?”I asked.“What joke?”She asked.“All I know is
