Chapter 12Aaron’s POV. I sat on a chair all alone in my large office, as my eyes darted to the clock which was hung at the corner of the office. I yawned loudly and suddenly the stone necklace I wore on my neck glowed brightly before it broke into pieces and disappeared from my view, making me gasp in shock. CHAPTER 15Megan’s POV. I widened my eyes in shock, freezing instantly. I was unable to pull out, or move backwards…so I just stood still wondering what was happening. I noticed Khalid widen his eyes, and he quickly pulled out and turned his face sideways in embarrassment. “I’m sorry…” He muttered, and I turned to glance at him. “You almost slipped, and I wanted to save you, but I didn’t know.....” He trailed off, and I breathed deeply. We stared at ourselves in shock, but it was until the knock came again that we were able to regain our composure. “Come in,” I ordered, and the door opened just for Alexis to appear with a small smile on her face. I creased my brows, and quickly turned to glance at Megan to see her widen her eyes in shock. “I’m sorry, just leave me alone,” Megan began to apologize as she shifted backwards in fright.
