CHAPTER 93Genevieve's pov. There's no way I'm going to believe that the man I'm in love with is in cahoots with this cruel beast! He's just bluffing, he wants to mess with my head and probably poison my mind against him.“And you think I'm going to believe that? It's obvious that you'll go to any lengths to get me to regret my actions but you know what? I won't! After learning what a despicable being you are, I will never regret my affair with Thorn!” I panted and let out a desperate grunt. The chains on my hands only giggled, refusing to break away from me despite all my attempts. I never imagined that I would be tied up like this, like a worthless rogue, and by my own husband! In all the years of being married to Jamie, I never thought that he could be this brutal and evil. He had always been the perfect husband, always ready to do whatever I ask. He pampered me as his wife and I felt bad as some point for breaking his innocent heart.Little did I know that my innocent husband was

CHAPTER 95Genevieve's pov.The door creaked open, then an image emerged from the dim hallway. The person who had entered didn't have Jamie's build, infact, the image had a slender figure like that of a woman. I had to be quiet and wait for whoever it was to step into the light.“My lady.” Cara ran over to me and knelt beside me, tears streaming down her cheeks. She touched me all over, her face showing pity for me. This is the one thing that I never imagined would happen to me.Being in a position where my subjects will pity me or see me as weak was the one thing I had dreaded all my life. I hated being weak and helpless. This was never how I imagined that I would end up like. It was embarrassing.“Oh my gosh.. are you okay?” She continued to browse through my body with her soft hands, checking for injuries and scars. “You shouldn't be here Cara. I'm sure that Jamie won't spare you if he finds you here.” I tried to push her away. But being the loyal servant she was, she shook her he

CHAPTER 97Thorn's pov.“What? What do you mean?” Did she just call me a monster? What have I done this time?I couldn't help but notice how tattered and hungry she was looking. It had only been a day since I left the palace and she already looks like this? Did they torture her? What the hell happened?“Stay away from me you backstabbing cheat!” She yelled. I ran over to her and put my palm over her mouth, trying to stop her from making any further noise. If she continues to yell, we're going to be discovered by Zeke's men.She struggled and hit me as hard as she could, trying to get me to let her go but I didn't. Instead, I held her in place and tried to calm her nerves. “Would you quit it? You're going to get us busted if you keep shouting.” I whispered but she continued to struggle. I was getting really pissed off and needed to do something very quickly to get her to listen to me.“Quiet!” I whispered but in a harsh way and she immediately went cold, only the sounds of her panting

CHAPTER 99Thorn's pov.We got to Zeke's hideout and I was pulled down from the horse like a commodity. They continued to pull me along with them, hitting me on several occasions. We got to the entrance of Zeke's office and they threw me in, causing me to fall harshly against the hard floor. I got to my feet once again, looking around the office. It was small and barely had any light coming into it. It only had one small window which wasn't even open and the room contained only a desk and a chair. Zeke wasn't in the office, I was standing there with only two of his men and they both had their weapons to my neck, preventing me from making any sudden movements. A few minutes later, I heard footsteps, followed by a slight penetration of light into the office. I felt an intimidating presence and instantly knew that Zeke had entered. I couldn't turn to look at him due to the weapons around my neck but he came to stand to in front of me, holding Taloria.“Please don't hurt her.” That was

CHAPTER 101Thorn's pov.My eyes flung open, an intense pain shooting throughout my body. Every movement I made caused me to wince, I was sore all over my body as a result of the beating from Zeke's men. I wasn't in any of kind of binding which was strange because I didn't expect them to leave me all alone without chains.I looked around the room with difficulty, my neck partially making any movement. The room I was in was different and dimly lit. A pale yellow lamp was lit and placed on top of what looked like a counter. I saw that the room only had two windows which were closed, allowing no form of ventilation into the room. The room was also dusty, because I felt a tingle in my nose every time I breathed in. I tried to get off the floor but I couldn't move my body. I felt numbness in some parts of my body like my arms and knee, restricting me from certain movements. I still managed to get on my feet, but then the door opened, allowing a gush of cold wind to fill the room instantl
