HEALING SCARS.I took slow and steady steps towards him and he stood there watching me as I came closer.I reached out my hand to touch his face but he flinched, turning away and avoiding my touch.I still reached out and touched his face. The feel of his skin against my hand was rough.“I look like the beast you see me as, don't i?” he whispered.“No, it's beautiful.” I said and he scoffed, turning away. His skin was hairy. It was a kind of golden sun color. His eyes were deep red.“Is this why you are hiding away?” I asked him.He laughed and shook his head.“No, that's not it. As much as i hate to say this, i am weak so my werewolf side is taking dominance. Partially though.” He said. He stood, resting his hand on the dressing table for balance.I went over to him to help me stand properly so I could walk him back to his bed, but he put his hand up stopping me from taking a step closer to him.“Why?” I asked.“You've seen me, I'm alive, leave” he said coldly.“I can heal you, let

TALE AS OLD AS TIME 2.“How did it end with you and Jade? Or rather why did it end?” I asked him.He began laughing and massaging his forehead with his left index.I wasn't really sure why he was laughing, I wasn't sure what the laughter meant.“What's funny?” I asked.“What's funny is that I do not know myself,” he answered. He stopped laughing and began speaking.“Jade was a very sweet person, she was one of the few people I allowed entrance into my cold and high wall. She changed, she was just so greedy, wanting more and when you gave it to her, she wanted even more…” he paused when he heard my stomach make a grumbling sound.I bit my lips, I was really ashamed. Of all times, it was now my stomach chose to embarrass me.“Do you maybe want to eat? I can always continue later” he said.I shook my head. No way I was going to let this moment pass. He might not want to talk about this again.“I will tell you whenever,” he said, assuring me.“Am I that readable?” I asked.“Yes, very,” he

ROMAN'S POV.Roses and i have had s smooth relationship as of recent. Things have been really great between us and the more I spent time with her, the more stories she told me both the serious and ridiculous part of her live back in San Francisco the more fond i grew of her. I remember she once told me about a day she and her friend when into a boutique acting high and classy and took all the jelly gum in the jar of the store and walked out without buying anything.I loved the way she threw her head back when she was laughing and the cute way she brings out the tip of her tongue when she smiles. The smell of her hair and the feel of her little hand in mine, though it doesn't happen as often as i wish it would. She had become the best part of my everyday.I havd had some business at work that has been keeping me late but i always made sure to get back early.I knew she would be waiting as usual at the window. She doesn't know i see her each time at the window. Well, that's because she

A VOICE FROM THE SHADOWS. “Katherina, katherina” I heard a voice call waking me from my sleep. I fluttered my eyes open, I was still in Roman's arms. I saw him look down at me. “What's wrong?” He said in a croaky voice. “Did you call my name?” I asked him. He looked confused as to what I was saying. “Yes, my name, did you call it?” I asked again. “No, I did not, why?” He asked me. I was so sure I heard my name, it was like the person calling out to me was right next to me. “I heard my name,” I told Roman. His expression turned serious as he sat up on the bed. “Just your name? Did you hear anything else?” He asked. “No, i..i, look I don't know. It's probably all in my head i guess” i said brushing it off. I didn't want to turn this into a big deal that it wasn't. Roman didn't look convinced “If you say so, let me know if it happens again” he said and I nodded. I spent the rest of the night wide awake, i kept replaying the voice in my head and trying to tell whether or not

BROKEN HEART. “I asked you a question, what did you just fucking say?” I asked Roman with tears in my eye. Roman stayed frozen still, he seemed like a thousand words were forming in his head but none were coming out of his lips. “Katherina” i heard my dad call and i shot a glare at him. I was really really angry. “You all have been lying to me all this while” i cried. Roman approached me, reaching out his hands to hold me “Rose, just listen to …..” “Don't you dare. Don't touch me with those filthy hands of yours” i cried with my teeth gritted. I cleaned the tears in my eyes and more came out blinding me. I turned around leaving them behind but to my surprise i saw Roman in front of me. I looked back trying to understand how he did that. “How did you…. Why do i care?” I said and pushed him aside. I was really pained, i didn't know what to do, whag to say, where to go, nothing at all, i was just confused all my thoughts were jumbled up as i walked out of the study. “Katheri
