Avery's POV “Amos,” I whispered, as I tried to open my eyes, everything seemed hazy and my head was pounding. I opened my eyes but I had to close them immediately. “She opened her eyes!” Maya screamed as they all rushed to my side, a drip was attached to my hand, I felt a little better and I tried to open my eyes again. “Sweetness,” Amos whispered, holding my hand, a tear escaped my eyes, my body had begun to hurt, only now was I feeling the pain in my neck and I knew this was a good sign. “How is she?” He asked Victor who just nodded and assisted Maya to the bed. I was happy that she could at least move around. “She survived, we survived,” I felt sleepy again. Was this a good or bad thing? I did not know but I could not fight this sleep, and soon I dozed off completely. “She is waking up,” Someone whispered as I opened my eyes again, it was not Victor, Maya, or Amos but a lady I recognized from the pack. “Where am I?” I asked myself as I looked around, it looked exactly like A

Avery's POV “Let me go, I will walk,” I said to the guards, they trusted me enough to let me go for some reason, and true to my word I walked with them down to the dungeon. This was the true description of the term “walk of shame”. I was barely covered enough to be termed decent and I walked with the guards to the dungeon with people gathered around me, following me, throwing rotten fruits at me and calling me names. I smiled, this setup was well planned, done to the letter, they must have put a lot of work into it to make it very believable because how could everything be so well done and with all the evidence pointing to me and nothing to prove my innocence? “Do not show them your weakness,” I whispered to myself, they did not deserve it. Apart from the evidence that was concocted against me, it was pretty obvious, clear as day that I was innocent. Besides, even if I wanted to do such a thing wouldn't I do it at a place and time where I could not be caught easily? How stupid woul

Avery's POV “Find her!” I heard Amos scream from a distance, he sounded so angry but I was way past caring, I just prayed he did not die before I came back, I wanted to give him a life worse than death. Once upon a time, he was my everything but now no matter how much he pleaded I would make him pay for the humiliation and pain I felt that night. I was still bleeding heavily and I knew it was leaving a trail. “Need to get help,” I whispered to myself, I had transformed into my human form and I was getting weaker by the moment. I felt something in my bra. I had just my bra and a pair of shorts on. I put my hand in only to discover that it was the same card Amos had given me the night before. If I had any doubts before this card had really confirmed that it was Amos I slept with that night and he knew, more anger rose in my heart and I hated him even more. “A little gift for my trouble,” I said to myself as I thought of something, if it was me in the past I would have thrown this m

Amos’ POV “I love you,” I mouthed to Avery and watched the train ride away. I had watched her for the past one day, I knew she was smart enough to survive on her own. It was part of our plan for her to leave but it wasn't time yet, I had not been prepared at all. “I am sorry Sweetness, this is all I can give you,” I whispered as I turned around and tried to compose myself, I needed that composure for what I was about to do. Honestly, everything was going according to plan, actually better than what we had planned, we told Avery about everything else but this part, I had noticed that Jack liked her a while ago and I knew he was surely going to make a move and we wanted to use that as a bait for him but we didn't expect him to act so quickly, he was so impatient and after I had the most beautiful time with Avery and supposedly left, he wanted to have his own share, it was Maya who had discovered it in time and knocked him out quickly. “It's all for the best,” Maya said to me as we

Avery's POV “Ella, Ella where are you?” I suddenly became scared, I began to walk around and try to find her, and then I heard a voice coming from the other room. “Yes, very fine, she is okay, I will try to make her feel better, okay, thank you, Sir,” I heard Ella say into the phone, she seemed to have wanted this call to be private and I was sure I was the person they talked about on the phone but I decided to act like I didn't hear a thing. “Ella, I was looking all over for you!” I said walking into the room, she had ended the call at this point. “I called my uncle to inform him about you and he approves,” she said with a smile, I breathed a sigh of relief, I was worried for nothing, the whole thing seemed strange to me and I was always on my toes. “It is going to take some time for me to get used to this,” I said to myself as I hugged her, she looked shocked at first but she hugged me back almost immediately. Just then my stomach began to rumble and we both laughed and went b
