Lagertha’s POV It had been three days since what happened in Alpha Theo's room, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t forget it. The memory played over and over in my mind. The way I’d been draped over his lap, his firm hand spanking me. It was meant to be a punishment, and yet… why hadn’t it felt like one? Why had my body reacted the way it did? Why did I get turned on by his touch? And was he really about to slide his fingers inside me if Natasha hadn’t knocked on the door? Every night before I went to bed, I replayed the memory in my head. The feeling of Alpha Theo's fingers on my wetness felt incredible. Don’t judge me. I’ve never been touched before. In fact, I haven’t even had my first kiss. That’s how boring my love life has been. It wasn’t that men didn’t approach me—they did, even with my reputation as the daughter of a traitor. Pack members made advances, from palace guards to warriors, even border patrols. But I never paid attention to them because I knew they nev

Lagertha’s POV Damn! It was just as I had imagined it, how I had fantasized about it for years, It was even more than I expected my first kiss to be. For a moment, I couldn’t breathe. I waited for that jarring moment when reality would snap back, and I’d realize it was just a dream. But as he continued to kiss me, his lips moving expertly against mine, I knew this was no dream. This was real. I was being kissed by Alpha Theo. I was being kissed by a man who, despite how cold he was towards me, still drew me in. I fantasized about him and had a crush on him. As our lips parted, my heart raced wildly in my chest, and a familiar fluttering danced in my belly. I touched my lips and swallowed hard. This was my first kiss, but why did his lips on mine feel so familiar? Like this wasn’t the first time we were sharing a kiss? “That was my first kiss,” I shamefully announced while holding Alpha Theo’s gaze. Through his eyes, I could tell he had doubts about what I just said. “I needed yo

Lagertha’s POV My head screamed at me to take back my words, to tell him no, that I didn’t mean anything I had just said. But as Alpha Theo’s predatory eyes remained locked on mine, I realized there was no turning back. I couldn’t take back my words now. For a moment, Alpha Theo remained silent, as if giving me one last chance to change my mind. But I stood my ground, rooted to the spot, my eyes fixed on his. Slowly, he rose from the bed, his gaze never leaving mine. Without a word, he began unbuttoning his shirt. My eyes widened, and panic surged through me, but my body refused to move. I stood there, frozen, my heart pounding wildly. Alpha Theo continued to undress, his movements slow and deliberate, as if testing me, gauging my reaction. He shrugged off his shirt, letting it fall to the floor, revealing his sculpted chest and taut muscles. His body was powerful, intimidatingly perfect. I swallowed hard, heat rushing to my face, but I couldn’t tear my gaze away. His hands moved

Alpha Theo's POV The door to my study creaked open, and Oscar stepped inside, his expression laced with concern. “You are still up?” he asked sounding worried. I sighed, leaning back in my chair. “Did you get what I asked for?” Oscar nodded but hesitated, glancing at his wrist as if checking the time. “It's 9 PM, Theo. Midnight is just a few hours away…" He trailed off, but I already knew where this conversation was headed. In exactly three hours, Lagertha would turn eighteen. She would get her wolf—and she would feel our bond. No ceremony was needed; she would simply know. “Theo," Oscar pressed. “What are you going to do when she finds out?” “Nothing,” I responded without a second thought. “I have already made my decision. All that I’m waiting for is for her to feel our bond and walk into this office. I will tell her straight up that I can’t accept her and then tell her my plan.” I made the words sound so simple, yet my heart was tearing apart, and my wolf was howling i

Lagertha’s POV “Shut the door and have a seat.” I froze. For a moment, I wasn’t sure I had heard him correctly. My heart pounded against my ribs, my wolf howling in protest at the cold command from our mate. Alpha Theo’s forest-green eyes bore into mine—unreadable and cold. I swallowed hard, my hands trembling as I reached for the door, shutting it softly behind me. Taking slow steps forward, I lowered myself into the chair opposite him, my legs weak beneath me. The room was eerily silent except for the ticking of the clock and the sound of my own erratic breathing. Alpha Theo sat with an impassive expression, his fingers steepled together as he studied me. He wasn’t acting like a man who was seated before his mate. This was not how I had heard it should be. I had heard that once mates meet, they go crazy over each other—some can’t even take their hands off each other. But my mate? Alpha Theo sat comfortably in his chair, his usual cold, expressionless look on his face.
