Gina's POVI had a quick bath and in less than two hours, Lana helped me to get dressed. I wore a big flowery gown with cowboy hat and took my sunglasses too.By the time I finished, Alex was already waiting for me at the sitting room.“I know I didn't take much of your time. I tried to be very fast.” I chirped.“Is this what you call fast? You took up to two hours” he said, brushing imaginary lint away from my gown.“Well, I'm a lady. A lady is never late, note that.” I smirked.“Noted, Ma'am. You look stunning by the way. In as much as you're dressed casually. I feel like I'm overdressed.” “No. You're good. Let's go to the hospital.” I remarked.“Do you have other plans for today?” He asked as we were heading to the garage.“Not yet. I plan to rest as much as I can. It all depends on whenever we return from the hospital.” I said.“Which car should we use today, Baby?” We were standing at the entrance to the garage.“Let's just go with the Bugatti. It doesn't really matter, right? I

Gina's POV“Alexander! This…I didn't see it coming.” I mused.“You've not seen the best yet. Come with me.” He held out his palm and I joined it with mine.I went into the elevator, a mischievous smile on Alex's lips. Who knows what he is up to now?As we stepped out of the elevator, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. But as the doors slid open, revealing a stunning penthouse apartment, I gasped in wonder. The first thing that caught my eye was the breathtaking view of the lake. The penthouse was situated on the top floor of a sleek, modern building, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a clear view of the sparkling water. As I turned to Alex, I saw that he was watching me with a pleased smile on his face. "Surprise," he said, his eyes crinkling at the corners.I smiled back at him, feeling grateful for the thoughtful gesture. "It's beautiful," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. The penthouse was decorated in a modern style, with shiny hardwoo

Alex's POV8pm that nightWhen I pulled up at Jude's new house, the mansion was in a totally different shape. The whole place was buzzing with people of different calibre. I and Gina walked in hand-in-hand and I located Jude immediately. He was at a round table with Toby, Dave and Collins. “The married man is here!” Collins exclaimed.“Welcome to my new home.” Jude said, spreading his arms.“Guys, meet my wife, Gina. Sweetheart, meet my friends. This is Jude, Toby, Dave and Collins.” I said by way of introduction.“Nice to meet you all. Sir Jude, your home is beautiful and welcoming. Thank you for having us.” She said, flashing a very bright smile.“Babe, I'll go and get a drink for myself. Have fun with your friends.” She whispered and winked at me before turning to leave. I pecked her lips softly before she left. When I turned back to my friends they were all laughing.“I can someone is in love. How beautiful.” Toby said.“It's obvious that our plan worked. Look how you were stari

Gina's POVThroughout last night, I tossed and turned on the bed, unable to sleep. I couldn't get the thoughts of the night's event from my head. When would Alex start being straightforward? He said he called things off with Toni, then why? Why would she be looking for him at his friends’ party? For her to be there, means that she was even invited.I wanted to storm into his room and ask him for explanations but I had to hold myself because my head was aching badly. Besides, what is the use?He won't change anyways. He obviously can't let go of her. It's all my fault for falling in love yet again with a cheat and a liar.It hurt so much that I wept bitterly. It felt as though my life was destined to be this way. Tonight's event, reopened fresh wounds and left me bleeding. It appears that the best thing for me to do is to avoid him completely for the mean time.I slept off, with tears in my eyes and sorrow in my heart.Next morning, when I woke up, my eyes were swollen with dark circle

Julian's POVI got home after hours of waiting in the traffic. I was famished, and the only thing I needed was good food and sleep.I had gone to see the manager of Blackwood Industries for financial aid. I was already running short of funds in my business. My store was already on the brink of crumbling. Not to think of the fact that Lily is four weeks pregnant, an extra mouth to feed. Ever since things stated going badly in my finances, I have lost my sources of happiness. As I parket my rickety vehicle at the driveway, my mind drifted back to my ex-wife, Gina. If she was still my wife, I wonder if things would be any different.I wonder how she is faring now. Maybe she must have relocated because I have not seen her nor heard anything about her ever since our divorce, two months ago.The previous week, I had gone to Saxton Empire to seek an audience with the company manager but I was denied. Back when Mr. Wilson Saxton was alive as the Chairman, I had intended to run to him for fina
