Zelena. As Gunner looked me over, a look of shame and disgust filled his eyes. But I could still feel him, his emotions and thoughts. He wasn’t disgusted with me, he was disgusted with himself, with the fact that he could have possibly hurt me... Again.“I’m okay, you didn’t hurt me. It was just a little tight” I said soothingly and held out my hand for him to come back to the bed. He stared at my hand and pressed himself into the wall. Hurt flashed across my face at his rejection. And Gunner caught it before I could wipe it away.“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t be here. I should be far away from you” he mumbled painfully.“What? What is that supposed to mean?” I snapped. Why would he need to stay away from me? Was it because of the thing that happened on the beach? We sorted that out though, I just need to eat to ward off the violent hunger urges. Gunner eyed me warily, uncertainty was written all over his face. Uncertain of what though? Of having a baby?“Gunner, what’s going on?” I asked h

Lunaya. The trip back to Tri-Moon was dismal. All of Lua Chei, apart from Analah, Ares, and four others, went back to their pack lands. Alpha Travis bid farewell and left for Waning Wolf with his warriors. Tobias insisted that his brother, Alpha Marius, went back home. They argued over it for a while, but Tobias won, and his brother went back to their pack. Alpha Lace, however, refused to go home. He sent his men and Beta back, keeping only three Weres with him. He was very insistent on coming back to Tri-Moon, and I am very curious as to why.Tobias and Gunner were very tight-lipped about whatever happened out there. All they said was that the Origin Alpha murdered Cole, and then they killed him in return. As for Zelena and her unconscious state, they said that she depleted her energy fighting off the Alpha. I could tell they were lying. Zelena is a Triple Goddess. It would have weakened her, but not to this extent. Something else happened. And I'll be dammed if they are going to kee

Lunaya.Once Tobias was done dressing her, he tucked her into the bed, pulling the covers up to her chest. He peeled his own soaking t-shirt from his massive frame and sat on the edge of the bed. He gingerly placed his hand on her stomach, then he sat silently and stared at her. I watched her as she lay completely still, with only the small movement of her chest going up and down with each breath. After a few minutes, Tobias’s deep voice whispered,“She turned to the darkness. I could not stop her, and I could not bring her back. She was almost lost to it”. I didn’t respond, just listened as he explained.“The black magic was consuming every part of her. Every part” Tobias whispered as his hand moved in a slow circle over her abdomen. I know of the darkness. It is a big part of the stories and training passed down from our ancestors. Throughout history, only one Triple Goddess has been completely lost to the dark side. She lost her Mate and went mad with grief. It took a lot to kill h

Lunaya.Alyse and I were huddled in the corner booth, stuffing our faces with bread and lukewarm stew. Alyse had her legs draped over mine so that she was nearly in my lap. I had a piece of bread hanging between my teeth as I waved it in front of Alyse’s mouth. She chuckled and snapped her teeth at the bread, pulling it from my mouth. I laughed and grabbed either side of her face, I pulled her to me and pressed my lips to her cheek. The kitchen door flew open and in walked Gunner with Zelena in his arms. She had her arms and legs wrapped around him like a koala. Alyse and I went silent as we watched them enter. Gunner paused and flicked his eyes to mine. He quickly looked to Alyse and then down at the bowls in front of us, before continuing on into the kitchen. I sat up straight, expecting that he would put Zelena down so I could see her. But instead, he kept one arm under her backside and carried her with him to the fridge. Zelena had her head nuzzled into the crook of his neck, hidi

Lunaya. The smile that formed just about split my face in two. I'm going to be a grandma! I had to dig my fingers into the cushion of the booth seat, just to stop myself from jumping up and embracing her in an all-consuming hug. I can’t believe I'm going to be a grandma! I couldn’t move, because I didn’t trust my body. I couldn’t talk, because I didn’t trust my voice. All I could do was stare at my child with my ridiculously huge smile.“Congratulations Alpha, Luna. We are so unbelievably overjoyed for you both” Alyse said, her voice thick with emotion.“Thank you” Zelena breathed out and melted back into Gunner’s chest.“How far along are you, do you know?” Alyse asked,“Uh not sure, I haven't seen a doctor yet. But I'd guess a couple of weeks” Zelena answered. Then her eyes went wide and she grasped her stomach.“Gunner” she whispered as her head snapped around to look at him,“I need to see a doctor. Galterio, he tried to hurt him, we need to make sure that he’s okay” she rushed ou
