Chapter 32Vaelora’s POVWe hold each other’s gazes for what feels like years before she takes a step towards, her eyes never leaving mine.My feet is rooted in place, watching as she brushes past me to the piano and shuts it close with a bang, startling me.I turn to look at her with confusion etched on my face but I don’t get the chance to process my emotions when the door creaks open and I hear boots matching in.Three of the pack house guards barge in, their faces concealed by a mask. The biggest one from amongst them eyes me before settling his gaze on Nyra who has a smirk on her face.“Caught this strange woman playing the piano. Haven’t I ordered that no one be allowed in here?” Three of them turn to look at me and my breath catches in my throat, words failing me. I open my mouth to speak and close it back, mentally smacking myself for being handicapped in a situation I should be able to defend myself.“Cat caught your tongue?” She mocks.“No.” I retort, looking up to the gua

Chapter 34Vaelora’s POVIf there’s a definition for chaos wrapped six foot five feet of frustration, it’s Zarek. He pulls me in by the waist, holding on tight as his fingers digging into the flimsy material of my robe and scrapping through the soft skin of the small of my back.My eyes widen as his other hand digs into his side, stealing my attention. Thoughts of her face wrenched in pain floods my mind and I groan, suddenly feeling like a complete asshole for hurting her.Why did I do that? For some reason, I’m unable to contain myself around her and it’s concerning. I’ve never been this drawn to a woman, not even Nyra. But this strange woman whom I have no idea who she is or where she’s from is slowly getting into the cracks of my life without trying and she doesn’t even know it yet.I plop down on the couch, relaxing into the soft material and closing my eyes with an exasperated sigh, my fingers wandering around the scar on the left side of my lower abdomen. It’s smooth to the touch and cold. Colder than the rest of my body. Adjusting my position on the chair, I glance down at it and cock a brow in surprise, wondering why it suddenly feels different.Until now, the scar had
