*Tessa*While I'm still planning an escape from here, little do I know I have more work to do when it comes to dealing with Marcus's strategies towards keeping me in this house. Someone knocks on my door.“I wonder what he wants this time around.” I say, while adjusting my earphones to be sure I'm hearing right that someone is in fact knocking.“Don’t be like this. He is your brother. You should get the door before he breaks it down. Try to do all you can to make sure you don't piss him off, and I'm being really serious with you.” Marin says. I leave the call still ongoing on the bed when I walk to get the door. Unexpectedly, I see Wes standing in front of my door. “Wes?” I say aloud. He does not allow me to finish when he uses his hand to cover my mouth so tightly. I begin struggling with him, but my voice is no more audible. He pushes me into my room and jams the door. Still squeezing my arm so tight, he pushes me onto the bed, pressing my head down on the bed. I'm so scare

*Tessa* I do not understand one bit of what K is talking about, but I really feel the only reason she will be working with Wes is because she's trying to get back at Marcus, and perhaps she has put so many words into Wes's head that he doesn't even know that what he's engaging himself in is way bigger than his ego of losing me to Knox. The door opens, and a hefty man stands in front of me.K pushes me inside harshly, and I didn't know this is what it feels like to be really treated like this when one gets abducted by people who think there's no repercussion for their action. There were seven more men inside the parlour. They had alcohol on the chair, and some sat on the table, while some were standing inside the parlour. My heart beats faster than usual as I watch them glare at me.They all didn't have a strong face, but they all glare at me.“I'm sorry for everything my brother has done to every one of you. But I'm pleading, don't take my life. Don't reply to his bad with bad. Plea

*Knox*After the call Kara makes to me. I find it ridiculously hard to comprehend that she will do something like this without even thinking of the repercussions of her actions.I wonder if she's so keen on making Tessa pay for crimes she has no hand in that she will do something as stupid as that without even thinking of herself. I drive into the apartment as early as I can to get Tessa out of there. I'm also thinking on behalf of Kara because I know if Marcus finds them before I do, she will not be able to escape his wrath.Kara is standing outside as I drive into the building. She knows me too well that I don't waste time on things that need urgent action. I drive roughly and stop abruptly a few steps from where she stands. Unbothered by the men who stand next to her with guns, I rush out of the car and walk to meet her face-to-face. They all point their guns in my face as I reach her front. Kara stands in my face like she's a villain. “Where's Tessa?” I snarl at her. I did

*Knox*I run after Kara's car just before it swivels out of the apartment. “Kara, give me the antidote or something! Anything! You can't just leave me here with nothing that will help me. Or tell me, what did you give to her?” I keep banging on her side of the window and yelling as I follow after them so close. Kara did not even raise her head to look at me. I don't even think she can hear anything I'm saying because of how well the window is closed. I still bang on it several times but to no avail. I rush back to meet Tessa as she lies on the floor. I'm really in a situation that will be so hard for me to easily get out of. Any normal person will be able to tell that I have no reason to allow myself to be caught if I truly wanted to hurt Tessa. The thought of running away with her also fills my mind, and I think it might be a bad idea to do that also. I run to my car nonetheless,, and before I can even go in, I realise that my tyres have been deflated. There's no movement f

*Knox*"I'm sure I do not know you, so you don't have to act like I do. Do what I've told you to fucking do, and don't try talking to me, or else I'd…” He raises the stick in the air and acts like he's about to hit me with it. He pauses as he looks at me like he's just getting a clearer look at me.“Wait? Commandant Kael?” His guard drops as he looks into my eyes. He drops the stick in his hands immediately and salutes me.“I sincerely apologise for this that I have done. I assure you that I didn't recognise you, hence why I behaved like this.” He says with his hands still saluting.I stand to my feet and pull down his hand.“Soldier, you've not wronged me. I just recognised you, and I knew you didn't. It's been a long time. Also, you don't have to salute me again. I left the military a long time ago already.”Mathew was a young boy when I trained him as the commandant. There were so many times when I saved him from getting bullied, and I trained him so well to be a stronger person
