ROMAN’S POV "First, I think we should start by going through everything. Everything that we’ve done, covered and prepared since the last time we had a meeting like this. After that we can go into the final checks and overall preparations for the coming week. The preview." "Yes, yes, I think you’re right.” the eager male concurred, looking from the woman to me. “It is a good idea. What do you think sir?” “It’s why we’re gathered here, isn’t it?” I responded, looking at them. “Carry on.” “Me?” the woman asked, blinking surprised. “I should lead?” “Why not? You already started speaking, did you not?” She beamed drastically, then adjusted arrogantly, getting ready. Even in the dimly lit room I could still see it; that taunt in her eyes. Directed at the one nearest me. Her. Alina. "Thank you, sir." then she began. Going off talking, sighting stuff, bringing back things I was well aware of since I received reports. The more she spoke, the more the one nearest to me stayed s

ALINA'S POV With that I snapped the lock on his door shut. Facing him, walking towards him, back to his table. My heels sounding out of course, his head rising as a result. "Did you forget something, Consultant?" "No sir." I dropped my stuff, breathed. "But I think you forgot something, sir." "What?" I moved immediately, turning round to meet him. Surprise in his eyes, curiosity in those green depths. Without a word, I held onto his chair, pushing it backwards, creating space for me as I got on top. Don't ask me anything, I wasn't in my right mind now. All I knew waa that I wanted this. I needed this. Which was why I placed both knees on his side, my ass on his groin, chest to his face until I took hold of his hair. Pulling him up to face me, look me in the face. "You forgot about me, don't think?" He blinked. Still surprised but I didn't give a shit. A second and I grabbed that stupidly bastard face of his, bringing myself down on him without another thought. Kissing

ALINA’S POV “Have you seen your stats? Your records? You have things you wouldn’t dare do even if you’re given a thousand guts, Alina. She’s a bloody user. An irresponsible parent, get rid of her!” His voice echoed. Again. A hundredth time now since this morning it happened. It’s well over the day, almost closing time and I still couldn’t get it out of my head. How could he say such things to me? How to speak to me, about her in such manner?? He didn’t know anything, despite what he thinks he saw, heard or looked up. He definitely overheard everything, that’s what brought this on. Brought his overbearing self on me. Frankly, I didn’t know why it was getting to me so much. Why it kept repeating. It wasn’t the first time someone’s told me similar stuff about mom’s situation. Even I had started considering clearing her off once and for all. So why was I pained somehow by his words? Why was I… whatever. “This is what you get when you start crossing the lines with someone.” I muttere

ALINA'S POV "Hope you're ready, bastard." I sprayed on perfume. Finally used the oil shin Cleo got me since forever to keep the girls shiny and 'irresistible' as she said. "I can't wait to tell Cleo all about this. I can't wait." Without time, I grabbed the rest of my stuff and left. Heading out into the public, to the office, Oxygen. Stares followed me all around, first from the security at the estate but I didn't care. If anything it surged my excitement even more. I was more than eager to get to work now, not because of work though. Something far more important was waiting there. Something I wanted, needed, would be getting today. So tell me, who would concentrate on work with that in mind?? Worse, Seraph's launch preview was coming up, less than 2 days away. I needed to focus but my God! I couldn't. Not one bit. "Ben!" I called out upon arrival, strutting into Seraph. Heels and everything. "Good morning everyone. How's it going?" I walked past workers, cleaners scat

ALINA'S POV I didn't blink. Didn't move a single muscle, didn't breathe. And he neither. Ben. His eyes were all enlarged as he stood in the doorway, brain surely processing, struggling to understand what was going on, what I was doing, what we- what we were doing in the tiny freaking space to begin with! Whether or not he got his answer, I didn't know. Didn't exactly care with my boobs sticking out so very unprofessionally from my blouse, mind in disarray. But whatever the case, he definitely was startled. The slam of the door just as quickly as it opened, as it all happened, proved it. He left. Jerked back out the hallway and shut the door with a force so strong, so strong the cold air outside got trapped in and vibrations echoed on the floors. Only then I could breathe again. "Ohhhhh," I shook, "oh my God." That was close. Too close. "He saw us, didn't he?" I asked, whispered. Warm presence behind me, even warmer arms coming around to wrap me. Pull me close yet again
