Lahat ng Kabanata ng RISEN: THE LYCAN PRINCESS: Kabanata 181 - Kabanata 190

Elisa D´Angelo I paced Stavros' office, and Mat chuckled. “You wanted to come here…” he said, and I looked up at him with a glare.“Sorry, I was just saying,” he raised his hands in surrender, and I slumped on the couch beside him.“Matty… I am nervous… I don´t know… this is too much for me… and at the same time, I still have the lingering question as to why they picked me… was it because I am the weakest among my siblings?” I bit my lower lip. I knew that my shy nature would come across as weak, or fragile, even gullible. I knew that, but with so many siblings with so different temperaments and personalities and with three protective Neardenthals as brothers, I didn´t have to push or shove… they did all the pushing and shoving for me… There was no need for me to turn into something different than what I am today.

Roger I was not expecting all the guys to be there for me. I was used to going around ´solo,´ but now I had a family, one that would not let me face any challenge alone.“They don't know me, right?” Urien said, and I raised my eyebrows.“We don´t know if they are on to you, and it is too risky to let you go alone…” he said, and Stavros nodded. “Angie will have our balls if we let that one happen,” he shrugged his shoulders, and I almost laughed, knowing well how capable my mate was, but also seeing how disturbed all three D´Angelo men were with the idea.“We have like fifteen minutes to round up,” I said, checking my clock, and Urien nodded.“I can go there, as a new intern,” he said, and I raised my eyebrows.“You don´t look like an intern…” I said, and he sighed.“I can

Urien Dragnoir The assistant led me to a conference room, and as soon as she left me there, I walked towards the door and moved around.I made sure people didn´t notice me.I slipped into an office. The door had a sign. ´Commander Hunt.´ The place looked like the office of someone who was in charge. Big window overlooking the city, a huge mahogany desk, leather chairs. It was luscious and screamed power. The desk was clean except for a couple of files on it. I quickly made my way there. The first file had the lab files and the names of all the humans we had in our power. He wanted to hire a supernatural being to kill them. The bastard wanted to get rid of any and every witness. He was such a monster that he didn't care if he had to kill innocent people. I read the files and heard Angie in my ear. “Slow down, I am scanning the documents,” she said, and I flipped throug

Asteria D´Angelo The revelation was as ludicrous as the reality. There was no way our little niece could be the one making or breaking the outcome. It is not fair that the destiny of the entire supernatural race rests on the tiny shoulders of our little Aurie. We all knew she was special; we didn´t realize she was that special. In what the Moon Goddess revealed, and I bet, in what Grecco saw, she is the key to tipping the scales in our favor. She and Zane. There is a war brewing with the humans. They feel threatened by our special abilities. They fear what they don't know, and they are weary of what they can't control. They are preparing a weapon that will immunize the supernaturals to lose their true natures and become humans. They used Zane´s blood to exploit his powers, and they somehow managed to get a sample of Aurie´s blood. So, the only advantage we have is that we know how to produce an antidote. We know that we

Zane The following day, I was up at dawn. I didn´t need the rest, but my mate loved to cuddle, and I loved to watch her sleep. The hard part every morning was to untangle myself from her warmth. It had nothing to do with waking up or with starting a brand new day; it was letting her go. Reluctantly, I untangled myself from her arms and got dressed. I had an early training in the barracks. I took a deep breath. Today, I will not only train my body, but my mind and my leadership. I need to be ready to lead. My realm needs it, my mate needs me to be strong and sharp, wise beyond my years, to navigate the trials ahead. I need to be everything they need me to be, and the only way to do it is by listening to the advice of the men in her family, the ones who have been navigating the rocky waters of politics far longer than I have. “Are you leaving?” Asteria sighed, half awake, half still a
