Leila’s point of view“I meant he tried to hang himself.”The words didn’t make sense, it was like my mind was refusing to believe them.My breath caught, “What?” I asked not believing my ears. A lot of things were already running through my mind and one of it was that, it was my fault.“I got there before….” Zeth’s voice broke. He dragged a hand through his hair. “Before he could finish it.”I stumbled backward, and then it came back to me, something Roberto had said in the hallway days ago, spoken so casually that I didn’t even treat it as the warning it was. He said he would rather die than have someone like Ischavor as a father.“No…” I whispered, my hands trembling. I pressed my hands against my thighs to make it stop but it didn’t work. “No, no, no….”“Is he alive? Is he fine?” Kardor asked.“He is alive, he is in the healer’s wing. ” Zeth replied.“Please.” I looked at Zeth, not caring how desperate I sounded. “Take me to him. I want to see my brother.” I begged Zeth. One minut

Kardor’s point of viewThe walk to Cassian’s wing felt kind of weird to me because it’s been years I’ve been there.Leila was beside me holding my hand, her hold tightened on mine every now and then as we moved through the southern corridor of the palace. This part of the kingdom had been abandoned for years, dust still clung to the walls despite the fact that the maids were rushing around trying to prepare the place after hearing of the forgotten prince’s arrival.I still could not believe he was back here, back to where he belongs. Like, finally the forgotten he has returned. The moment we stepped into the large sitting area of the wing, I saw him. Cassian was sitting near the balcony in a black wheelchair, with one hand resting lazily against the armrest, while the other flipped through a book. The evening wind moved through his hair, making him look so much like mother. He looked up and those familiar green eyes met mine, a grin spread across his face.“Well…” he drawled out lazil

Athena’s point of viewI stood in front of the mirror for what felt like forever, I stared at my reflection while my fingers adjusted the thin robe around my body for the fifteenth time. Tonight I was going to him because I was tired of staring at him from afar like some pathetic lovesick girl. I wanted him for myself. The thought alone made my stomach tighten with excitement. Ever since the ceremony, I haven’t been able to think straight, the way he looks at Leila drives me crazy. I wanted that type of attention too. No…. I craved it and tonight, I was done pretending otherwise.I slipped out of my en-suite quietly, moving through the palace hallways carefully. Every shadow made my heart jump and every distant sound made me want to run back to my en-suite. If anyone caught me sneaking into the future king’s quarters in the middle of the night, I am finished.Desire was the thing pushing me forward anyway. I finally reached his quarters and the door to his en-suite wasn’t locked, exci

Athena’s point of viewI walked out of the dining hall as fast I could without outright running. My chest burned with humiliation, that stupid man, that insufferable man in wheelchair. How dare he laugh at me like that in front of everyone.I tightened my fists in anger as I moved through the hallway. I hated him already. No, that wasn’t true. What I actually hated was the strange nervousness I felt ever since he introduced himself.Cassian Arkhavel, same father, same mother. Then it clicked. The wheelchair was the same one I saw last night. My steps slowed, a cold feeling slid down my spine.“No! No fucking way… oh my goodness!” I gasped, covering my mouth, I stopped walking as memories of last night began to flash through my mind. The different voice, the way he touched me afterward. Oh no!“Oh finally, I caught up with you.” a voice drawled out behind me.I turned so fast that I almost fell, Cassian sat few feet behind me in his wheelchair looking entirely too amused for my liking.

Kardor’s point of viewI just feel weak,” she whispered, her eyes shutting again.“Open your eyes for me.” I rushed out. “They are opened.” she replied weakly.“Open it properly.” I commanded, a tiny sigh escaped her lips before she opened her eyes widely.I carried her back to the bed and laid her down carefully like she was made of glass. She tried sitting up, but I made her stay down.“Can you stop panicking, you look like you are about to go crazy.” she said softly.“I am not panicking. This is my normal face.” I replied. She almost laughed but another wave of nausea hit her again, she turned away and gagged repeatedly. That was enough to ring alarming bells in my head, I rushed out to the door and called for a guard.“Get the royal healer here now.” I barked out. The guard vanished instantly. I went back to the room to find her already sitting up.“Stop overreacting Kardor, it’s not like I am dying. I am literally alive.”I sat beside her immediately, brushing her hair away from
