Adrian let go of my hand to retreat a few steps, he ran his fingers through his curls and I noticed he couldn’t look up at me, “I didn’t want to lose my crown, it’s not like I wanted to date you or something like that, so…I told him the bet was still on, I told myself if I could just get a night with you or just get you to say something romantic, I will send it to him and it will be over, I won’t have to go near you again or even act like I know you,” he wiped his hand on his face, still not able to look up at me.“Every day was torture, having to act like that with you, the trust I see in your eyes knowing that I wasn’t being truthful and one day everything was going to be out in the open. I was feeling bad, for you and the things I was doing to you, it was supposed to be just feeling bad for you, it was supposed to be just feeling bad for what I was doing but I never expected everything to change, I never expected to…” he look up at me, his eyes were bluish black, “start feeling som

I stared at Adrian in confusion, what does he mean by it was me? What did I do? He approached me and took my hands in his, “you were the reason I was like that, the reason I was constantly angry because you forbade me from getting close to you, from talking to you. Every day you act like you don’t know me and it was getting on my nerves, making me really angry and at unrest. Then Mia came into the picture,” I clenched my teeth at the mention of her name, he noticed for he chuckled and touched my jaw, trying to sooth me into freeing my teeth.“She was a perfect distraction or so I thought, I told myself that I am the way I am because I haven’t had a girl in a long time, that if I should get a night with her then you will be out of my system. But the truth is, even though I’m with her, I only notice you, when you walk pass, when you are angry or sad and I actually cheered for you yesterday when you talked back to…what’s her name?”“Kathleen,” I didn’t know I was smiling. He smiled too,

I couldn’t believe what I had, it can’t be, he didn’t say that right? Adrian didn’t say he love me did he? “I really do, I can’t continue lying to myself, saying that it’s not possible and I need to stop believing that I am not capable of loving because right now I do, I love you,” he added, as if reading the doubt in my eyes.My world was spinning, Adrian loving me was all I ever wanted but hearing him say that now, makes me feel like I’m dreaming, it has to be a dream. Minutes ago I saw him in the kitchen kissing someone else, technically he was being kissed but it’s still…unbelievable.Adrian tucked my damp hair behind my hair, “please, say something, hmm?” He looked vulnerable, I have never seen Adrian looking vulnerable, he always knew what to do, what to say, how to act or also what one is thinking. I can’t believe that now he is begging me to say something but what can I say? I am totally speechless. He traced his fingertip on my lips and it trembled, “you are so beautiful,” he

I lay in my bed on Saturday morning, all I could think of was Adrian’s words to me last night, I couldn’t sleep last night, thinking about all the things he said and this morning, I continued from where I stopped. Sighing, I rolled on the bed, facing my window, thinking about the times he climbed in through there and secretly wishing he would now. Kissing him last night had revoked any little feeling I thought I had lost, I love you, Molly, my mind replayed again and it brought a smile to my lips. I closed my eyes, remembering that vulnerable look in his eyes.“Molly,” Christy shouted and I turned to see her entering my room, she closed the door after her, “care explaining what happened last night?”I frowned, “what are you talking about?”“We came together and you left without me!” She stood in front of me, hands akimbo.I rolled my eyes, “like you didn’t know what happened to me last night.”“I didn’t, well, I did when I came out and started looking for you but you were nowhere to b

On Monday, I prepared for school, adding a little extra touch to myself, I don’t often wear makeup to school and two weeks ago, I didn’t at all, never even bothered about my dressing but today, I was dressed in cross belt jean shorts with a black short sleeved polo inside. I chose black because I didn’t need him to tell me that black is his favorite color, I have never seen him dressed without anything black. I pulled my hair into a high ponytail, knowing it would be bouncing when I walk. Adding mascara to my lashes and baby pink lip gloss on my lips, to highlight the pink color, I poker my lips to my reflection in the mirror, loving my look.He said the color of my lips reminds him of cotton candies, I’m going to make it irresistible to him and he is not going to get even a peck. Putting on my black converse, I grabbed my backpack and left my room to meet Christy and Max in the kitchen, fighting over his remaining pancake. “Hey guys,” I called to their attention.Christy snatched the

I walked to my class, Adrian’s words still ringing in my ear, that’s how much I love you, honestly, that was the most sweetest words someone has ever said to me and it put a smile on my face as I entered the class. I had left him after the sentence because I didn’t know what to say neither did I want to show him how much his words pleases me. I gave no damn about what would be said in school, it’s surprising to know that with Adrian by my side, I don’t care about what any other person would say.It wasn’t long I sat in class that Christy came in, grinning like a Cheshire cat. “Fuck me, girl you have no idea what happened next,” she said, sitting next to my side.My interest was piqued, recalling that I had left Adrian and Mia in the lot, I knew something must have happened and for a minute, I regretted not staying to know what happened, “what?”“After you left, the bitch grabbed Adrian’s hand, demanding he should explain to her what he just did and then Adrian had looked at her, as if

Everything was going smoothly today except for Adrian, he had been acting strange from our first class to our last class, which he didn’t even show up to at all. He typed on his phone in every class and I wanted so badly to know what he was doing but I never got the chance, he leaves the class before anybody and he enters late. With my last class for the day done, I sighed and packed my books, getting up and stretching myself.“Hey what’s wrong with Adrian? He has been acting strange today,” Christy said.“You noticed too?” I asked.“Of course I noticed, why shouldn’t I?”Picking up my backpack, I sighed, “honestly, I’m confused, I wanted him not to be able to take his eyes off of me today and he only did that in the morning at the parking lot, the rest of the day he just couldn’t take his eyes off of his phone,” we began walking out of the class then.“Yeah I understand you, but maybe something came up and he had to handle it immediately.”“And that thing had to come up today of all

“Say yes Molly, you belong together,” Christy shouted in the quiet hall, her voice so loud that it almost deafened me. Of course she would want me to say yes, she had wanted me to be with Adrian all along.“Say yes Molly,” a guy shouted, I looked at him, it was Gideon, now he is supporting his friend, of course.“Say yes, you don’t have to turn him down,” a girl shouted and before I could find out who she was, a lot of voices started shouting, “say yes, say yes, say yes.”I looked at all the students surrounding us, some was not chanting with the rest and most of them where girls and the only boys not chanting were Kevin, Josh and Charles, I think they don’t want me for their friend, but who cares?I looked at Adrian and he was licking his lips, no doubt really terrified of my answer. The look in his eyes warmed my soul, in as much as I wanted to make him suffer a bit but turning him down in front of the whole students and those that would still watch the videos, it’s not something I

Hearing Adrian’s words had swelled my heart so big that all I wanted was just to kiss him so hard and not let go. Kevin couldn’t find a refutable words to give so he just nodded, turned around and left. Josh and Charles followed after him when they realized that they had nothing else to say either.I looked up at Adrian, “what is this King of girl’s crown?”“Just a little club high school boys created, not just our school, with three other schools I think.”“So how do you choose your king?”Adrian grinned, “you are not going to like it.”I feel my heart missed a beat but like they said, curiosity killed the cat, “tell me.”“Well, the members would choose girls for the campaigners, and each one has only but two days to woo five girls and sleep with all of them in that two days.”“Ew,” I made a disgusted face.“I told you, you won’t like it.”“So whoever that slept with the five girls in two days wins?” Christy asked behind me, I have almost forgotten her.Adrian nodded, “exactly. And y

When we got home, I got down from the car, expecting him to follow but when I looked back, he was still standing beside his car, I raised my eyebrow, “are you coming?”“Oh, you want me to,” he said, shutting his door and walking around the car to meet up with me.“What do you mean by ‘I want you to’?”Adrian sighed, “I’m trying to drop some of my old habits, I’m great at inviting myself to things and you usually complains about it, so…” he shrugged.I felt moved by his words, he is trying to make everything work out, I stood on my tiptoes and kissed his lips lightly, “in case you don’t know, your attitude is what attracted me to you, if you had been doing all the things I wanted, then you would have backed away when I told you to, then we wouldn’t have spent enough time with each other.”He smiled, “so you saying you want me to continue with my previous attitude?”“I want you to be you, don’t change for me. I kind of liked the bad boy Adrian,” I threw my hands round his neck and kisse
