JULIANI stood there listening to my grandfather talking and making amends. But I felt nothing. I was tired and so was everyone else in that hall. It had been days since the whole ordeal started; no one had gotten any rest since. We all needed it, our bodies were going to shut shown if we didn’t rest soon. We were not dead like them, we couldn’t go on forever without getting tired. My grandfather, I felt like it would have been better if he had not come. But then again, maybe it was a good thing he came. To give Helena’s mother the closure she needed to cross over. “Helena.” Her mother called to her. She had a small, beautiful smile on her lips now. The tears were gone; she looked radiant. Helena turned to her. “I am leaving now.” My wife nodded, I knew it wasn’t easy to just let go. I knew it still hurt her to watch her leave. “I understand.” Her mother smiled warmly then looked at my grandfather. “Let us go.” Soon, they vanished. The last of the dead were gone. I sighed in relief.
