Alpha's orders

POV. Kristy.

Summer has come to an end. This is my last school year. Unlike my classmates, I am not studying for a job. Being the alpha's daughter, I am next in line for Alpha. Standing outside the big white building with my bag over my shoulder.

Teenagers laugh and catch up with each other about their summer. Seems like a normal school, right? Only we are all werewolves. We have our own community. A pack.

In the corner of my eye, I see someone waving with excitement. I turn around and see Olivia. My best friend. She runs up to me, hugging me. “Long time no see," she says.

Olivia is a tall blonde. She is Delta’s daughter. “Ready?” she asks, looking at me with frowning eyebrows.

I am still staring at the big white building. “Yes, let's do this,” I say, while I straighten my back. I let a deep breath go.

We walk into the school building, where the halls are filled with laughing and chatting teenagers. Everyone moves aside as we walk by. Since I am the alpha's daughter. It makes me uncomfortable. I don’t like being the alpha’s daughter. It gives me a free pass which can be nice sometimes, but I wanted to be a doctor like my aunt. Not going to happen I know.

We walk to our lockers. I put my math book in the locker since we have that after lunch. A tall dark blonde muscular boy walks our way. It’s Jeremiah, Olivia’s mate. He grabs her face and pecks her lips.

“Hello you, I missed you,” he says between pecking here lips. Olivia giggles. “You just saw me yesterday”. I roll my eyes with a little smile on my lips.

“Good morning alpha,” he says turning to me.

“Ugh please don’t call me that.” I sigh.

He laughs. “Found your mate yet ?” he asks while leaning against a locker.

“No, I haven’t thanks for the reminder though” I look at him and close my locker

“Oh, he didn’t mean it like that,” says Olivia while we walk to English class. Jeremiah laughs. I roll my eyes. I know But still, everyone has their mate but me.”

Most wolves find their mate when they turn 18. I turned 18 this summer and haven’t found my mate yet. Most of my classmates have already found their mates. It makes me feel left behind.

As we walk into English class I stop in at the entrance shocked to see my dad standing there. “Dad?” I ask, surprised. “Yes, Kristy. Have a seat, I am filling in for the English teacher today.” He says with his hands across his chest waiting for everyone to come in. You could have told me I whisper to him while I walk by finding my seat.

Everyone has come in and the bell rings. My dad stands up.

“First of all, welcome back to school. This is your last year. After this, you’re going to study your chosen profession.” He says while walking through our seats. Today, I will be filling in for your English teacher. Tomorrow you’ll meet your new English teacher.”

I sigh in relief. A little too loud. My dad gives me a look raising his eyebrows. I am just relieved I am not stuck all school year with my dad as a teacher. Him being the alpha is more than enough.

The first day of school goes by quickly. Until training. At the end of every day, we have training. We are being trained by beta rick. My dad's best friend.

As I walk onto the field, chatting with Olivia. I see Matthias coming up to us. He is beta’s son.

Ugh not this again I sigh. Olivia laughs. Knowing what’s coming.

“Hello love," he says, putting his arm around my shoulders.

“Not your love" I reply, shaking his arm off my shoulders.

“You will be soon,” He says, with a smirk on his face. “I see you haven’t found your mate yet either.” He points towards my neck. When mates find each other they, mark each other on the neck.

I pull my hair in front of the spot looking annoyed at him.

“You know your dad wants me to mark you when you don’t find your mate by the end of the school year, right.” He says walking away from us.

“School year is not over,” I yell back at him.

“What a jerk” Olivia shakes her head.

“Yes,” I reply with a disgusted look on my face staring as he runs on the field with his brown hair and muscular body.

“Can’t believe my dad wants me to be mates with him" My body shivers at the thought alone.

“Me neither. He is kind of hot though” she says looking at his muscular body while he throws a ball across the field. Only wearing shorts.

I frown my eyebrows and elbow her. “Olivia?!” I say shocked. She laughs and we walk onto the field.

Beta, Rick walks on the field.

“Everyone in line.” He yells at us.

“We have ears you know,” I say, holding my burning ears from his yelling.

He laughs and throws Matthias a shirt. “Put on some clothes. It’s not a strip club.”

Everyone laughs and Matthias puts on his shirt, turning red like a tomato.

Beta Rick is making couples for training. And of course, I am put up with Matthias.

The smirk on his face when his dad called our names. Ugh.

“Today we are focusing on tackling your partner in human form. No shifting." Beta Rick yells. Pointing fingers to each of us. “ No scratching and no biting. Other than that, have fun.” He says with a smile on his face.

“Get ready... and tackle” he yells.

Matthias is standing in front of me with his knees bent a little and hands up ready to attack.

“I don’t want to hurt you, love," he says with a smile on his face. “I will go easy.”

Before he finished his sentence. I ducked, swiping my leg underneath his knees. He falls over onto his back.

I laugh holding out my hand to him “Sorry, what were you saying?” I ask sarcastically. He stands up looking a little annoyed. Which makes me laugh harder.

“Nice one Kristy” beta Rick nods when he walks past us.

We go stand in front of each other again.

I look at him and Olivia has a point. He is hot. With his devilish brown eyes and dark hair. His muscular body. The way his shirt hugs his chest and biceps. I drift off. I shake my head no. No get it out of your head focus. I tell myself.

Then I feel two arms grab my legs and sweep me in the air. My back hits the grass and I growl a little. I look up and see Matthias, his face close to mine.

“Is that all you got, love?” he says with a smile on his face.

I wrap my legs around his neck and toss him over on his back. I grab his arm and push it against my leg. He taps the ground with his other hand. He growls as I let go. We stand up.

I smile at him and say “Is that all you got, love.” Imitating his voice.

I look over to the other side of the field and see my dad shaking his head. For sure, he’s going to lecture me on the way home.

The bell rings which means training is over.

“Hit the showers you guys smell.” Yells beta, Rick.

Olivia runs up to me, locking her arm into mine. “You got him good". She whispers as we walk over to the showers.

As we come near the shower building, my dad pulls me aside.

“I expected more from you” he hisses at me. “All summer I trained you, you’re my daughter soon to be alpha and you embarrassed me.” He says disappointed but angry.

“I got him twice" I snap back at him.

“Attitude young lady. He got you once that’s one too many”. He says with his arms across his chest looking down on me.

My stomach drops. “I don’t even want to be alpha” I growl at him.

“Too bad you’re my only child and next in line for alpha whether you want it or not. Now go and shower.” He snaps back at me.

I turn around and walk angrily to the showers.

Olivia comes up to me already showered, still in her towel. “What did he say?” she whispers as I undress myself angrily.

“That he expected more from me," I say. “You’re my daughter soon to be alpha," I say mocking his voice.

Olivia laughs. “You got him good don’t listen to him," She says as she rubs my shoulder and walks away to get dressed.

I turn on the shower. Still angry from my father’s words. I don’t want to be alpha. But, no I have to be the only child of the alpha. I wash myself and it calms me down slightly.

I turn off the shower and walk out to an empty room. Everyone is already gone. I open my locker and grab some clean clothes. I hear the doors open. My heart jumps a little when I hear heavy footsteps walk my way. I sniff the air. I turn around and face Matthias.
