Steal Your Fiance

"Stay-away-from-Reiner!” 

Alicia’s sighing as Theodore Coldrick—her beloved fiance—meticulously spells the word in order for her to understand.

"Theo, how am I supposed to avoid him?" 

Alicia had heard requests like that many times. Stay away from this and stay away from that. Theo kept telling her to stay away from every man. Should she also stay away from her father and younger brother?

"Listen to me! Reiner is only one of our company's clients. We've only met a few times for business matters and I don't even have his cell phone number. Tell me, which part makes you worry about him?"

"It's because he's normal. I see his gleaming eyes as he stares at you. He’s definitely attracted to you and I hate that.”

"Oh, He likes me! Of course, he likes me, otherwise we will not reach an agreement  in the first place."

Theodore frowned more deeply. "So, is that how you do the business?" 

"What do you mean?"  Alicia thought that there was nothing wrong with what she said.  But it sounded like a business theory for Theodore?

"You used your charms to get those clients?"

"Crap!" Alicia swears in a low voice and let out a harsh sigh. 

[ To hell with this man and his low mind. Ah! He’s not a man yet, he's just a boy.]

"Then just cancel the agreement. You can look for better clients than him."

"For God’s sake, why do I have to cancel this agreement? Theo, you don't make any sense!"

"What doesn't make sense, canceling the cooperation is something you can do. Don't worry about the penalty fee. I'll take care of it for you if that’s what you are worried about."

"You're not gonna make me do it. It's not a matter of penalty fees that I have to pay or anything. You can't make my company look bad because of this. We have a reputation to look after. I’ll never break the agreement because of your spiteful presumption."

Of course, Alicia thought of the public's perspective on her company. Falcon Enterprise collaboration with Reiner's company was widespread. They have got a lot of benefits from the collaboration so far. Why did they have to stop?

“I’m not spitefully accusing him. That’s the truth that you can’t see yourself”

. 

"This is childish, Theo, I would never do as you say."

"Alicia, if you can't do it, then I will ask Mr. Weisberg directly. I don't think he will object to my idea."

Theodore had reached his vengeful  point. He didn't care what it was. If he felt that it would threaten his relationship with Alicia then it seems like Theo wouldn't mind even if he had to kill people.

"Then just go to my father and ask him to cancel our agreement with Reiner’s corp. I don't care anymore." Alicia stepped out of her room and ignored her secretary who was calling.

Theodore was behind her and casually walked out like nothing happened. His demeanor is always in a foul mood if Alicia is not around. It hard to tell if something happens.  

Alicia’s secretary has to collect her bravery to ask, "Mr. Coldrick, did you have a quarrel with Miss Alicia?" 

"That’s none of your business!"  Theodore walked and bumped Alicia's secretary away to make her fall to her knees. Theo takes a sinister glance at her before finally deciding to leave.

After looking around for a while finally the secretary found her master at the pantry, "Miss Alicia, is there a problem?"

"Nothing. Has Theodore left my office?"

"Yes, he left shortly after you left Miss."

"Fine. I'll turn off my cell phone, if he calls you just say I'm not back yet."

"Are you two quarreling again?"

Alicia looked at her secretary, Jessica Becker. She was the same age as her little brother. The girl had worked with her for two years and during that time Alicia had been in a relationship with a possessive man—ah, no, a boy named Theodore. Alicia likes to share her feelings with Jessica, nagging about Theo and nattering anything that comes to her mind.

"You're the one who understands me the most, Jessie, you know how annoying Theodore is recently? He told me to stay away from Reiner and even cancel our cooperation."

"Is he getting jealous of Sir Reiner?"

"Yes, he's always been. He's even jealous when I always talk about you."

"Miss, you started rambling."

"I'm not rambling. It's true. He's getting overprotective and somehow trying to dominate me out of jealousy. He doesn't even like it when I talk about you, even though you're just a woman. That little guy never grows up."

"It's because he loves you very much, Miss. He loves you a lot, so he won't be happy if your attention is distracted by others. Especially if it's with another man."

"Hah ... He may love me so much, but I don't like that way. I can't be with him anymore."

"Miss, don't talk like that! Don't you love Sir Theo anymore?"

"That…" Alicia  thought deeply about the question. Maybe she feels pressured by Theo's possessiveness or maybe has she had a change of heart?  Could it be that Alicia  doesn't love Theodore anymore?

"You're engaged to him and you two are the greatest couple ever. I can't even imagine the two of you parting."

"Umm, perhaps I would have parted with him earlier if I knew he would be like this. Unfortunately, I can't part with him that easily now. My mom likes him too much and the engagement somehow felt as much as business partnership. Theodore has done a lot to support our company.  I thought I could never part with him, even if I wanted to."

Alicia 's face became gloomy as well as Jessica's. Although, Jessica's gloomy face still looked favorable even in the eyes of a woman like Alicia. Her sweet secretary must always refresh the eyes of the men around her. How come she just realized it now?

"Ah, unless…" suddenly something flashed through Alicia's mind.

“Unless?”

"Unless Theo likes another woman and breaks the engagement by himself." 

Oh, that's right. Brilliant! Alice fixed a gaze at Jessica as she looked for an answer.  Could it be that God placed Jessica as her secretary for no reason?
