I don’t know if there’s going to be a second season announced yet, but while I wait, I’ve started reading ‘My Love Until the Last Goodbye’. It’s another second-chance-at-life story, this time though the protagonist reconnects with their estranged husband after being diagnosed with terminal illness. The focus of the story is on their attempts to reconcile and work on their relationship before he passes away. This is so far removed from the genre of ‘May I Ask for One Final Thing?’, and whilst it’s not ‘deep’ in the same way, it’s a more realistic, more emotional read and I’m finding it to be a very satisfying read to fill the time until hopefully the second season of this is announced.

Three words: manga sales spike! Ever since the anime aired, the manga has been consistently ranking at the top of the ‘reprint needed’ charts, a surefire way to gauge success in the industry. Also, the anime’s finale is a fantastic setup for the Emerald Kingdom arc, where the story really kicks off with lots of intrigue and politics.

As for me, I really hope to see Scarlet’s duel with the Knight Commander from the Light Novel animated, but apparently studios wait for more material to be released as source. The manga is currently in the arc of the Emerald Kingdom, which needs about 12 more chapters to be completed and adapted into an anime. Perhaps an OVA first? I’ll be funding any crowdfunding campaigns for this.

Man I’ve just been low-key obsessed with “May I Ask for One Final Thing?” since it came out. It’s been a great revenge fantasy with beautiful art and I binge watched it in one sitting. Rumor mills are speculating for a 2nd season because of that cliffhanger but there’s been no announcement yet. The manga is still continuing with plenty of material to work with, and the anime’s merch has been selling fairly well too.

This show has gotten a lot of attention on social media, especially with the character development of Scarlet. It’s pretty obvious that when a protagonist of a show gets this much attention, especially in terms of memes and fanart, that studios will pick up on the interest to make more of the show. With production delays being as normal as they are these days, we won’t likely see any announcements of season 2 until 2025. Hopefully not like No Game No Life.

I was talking with my Discord group last night about how there still is no announcement for season 2 of K autopsy. The sales of the Blu-rays abroad apparently were quite good, so this surely must have an impact on the production committee’s decision. The Japanese fanbase is also spamming the studio’s Twitter with watermelon emojis, which is Scarlet’s signature weapon.

Now I'm worried because their schedule looks crazy next season with 2 major adaptations. The manga’s ‘Noble Reincarnation’ arc would make a great anime though. The scenes of Scarlet dismantling aristocrats in the courtroom would be particularly great to see animated. I’m guessing we’ll get a teaser for it at next Comiket, probably packed into the special edition of the manga’s volume 10.

There have been whispers of a second season of the anime in fandom circles since the end of the show. Everyone seems to be holding on to hope that the post-credits scene was not actually the ending of the anime and is instead setting up more story for future seasons. The source material certainly has enough to support another season of anime, particularly given the ever-escalating politicking in the story. As of yet, however, there have been no official announcements from the studio regarding a second season. In the meantime, I and everyone else are stuck refreshing our news feeds in search of a key visual or teaser site for the show. The first season apparently did okay commercially, so there’s no reason that it shouldn’t be picked up for another season. Alas, as an anime fan, there’s nothing better to be than to be left to wait and see.

Is Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World getting a season 2?

13 Antworten2026-04-16
I found the fantasy economics in this show to be really compelling. Watching Michio figure out the various ways to manipulate the market, purchasing a house, and even managing his finances was really enjoyable. A second season could explore so many more areas of this world. New cultures, new trade goods, new ways for politics to play out. Yes, the harem is part of the story, but so is the world-building, which is extremely rich. I would love to see Michio deal with a merchant guild trying to wrestle control of the various dungeons and their treasures from him. This would be a really smart show and could deal out some real tension and even some strategy to the various story arcs. Season two has the potential to be much better than a lot of people expect.

Is the reincarnation of the strongest exorcist getting a season 2?

Loads of people have been asking whether 'The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World' will get a season 2, and I’ve been obsessively tracking the news for months. As of mid-2024 there wasn’t an official green light for a second season — which is honestly both nerve-wracking and typical for shows like this. The anime left enough story threads open and there’s plenty of source material still unadapted, so it feels primed for more. From what I watch for — Blu-ray and digital sales, streaming numbers, and social buzz — this series did pretty well, but studio scheduling and production committees can drag their feet. Sometimes a show gets a delay because the source material needs to accumulate more volumes, and sometimes it’s a rights/financial shuffle. I keep checking interviews with cast and staff because a casual hint in a tweet can spark hope. If it does get renewed, I’d love to see tighter fight choreography, a bigger budget for key animation, and more time spent on character moments that the first season skimmed. Until then I’m rereading the light novel and bookmarking fan art to keep the hype alive — I’m cautiously optimistic and impatient in equal measure.

Is how a realist hero rebuilt the kingdom getting a season 2?

It was a really unique experience watching it weekly when it first came out. The discussions in the episode threads were half political science seminar, half waifu wars. That was hilarious and very enlightening. A second season would be great to get back that sense of community. We could discuss every policy decision and every character development in detail all over again. This social aspect of watching modern anime is a big part of its enjoyment. People make speculation about the series, make funny memes and even draw fan art. This all happens when the series is still active. Right now the series has a very quiet fandom mainly sustained by readers of the light novel series. Re-igniting that all would be very much appreciated. And that energy in itself can be enough to make a series successful. By staying engaged with the work and talking about it we keep the embers warm, hoping that one day the fire will be stoked again.

Is 'Girlfriend Girlfriend' getting a season 3?

A lot of the humor in this anime is based in the voice acting. Saki Saki’s voice acting in particular is hilarious. Ayane Sakura perfectly captures the character’s switch from completely calm to completely apocalyptic rage in the span of a millisecond. I would definitely watch a third season of this anime for more of her voice acting, and the rest of the cast is just as funny. It is clear that they are having a good time in the recording booth.

Are the creators planning an angel beats sequel or season 2?

9 Antworten2025-11-06
Looking at it from a creator’s perspective, Jun Maeda has stated on several occasions that he wants to try new things. Going back to a hit work can be stifling for creators. I rather him work on something new that he is really into right now, even if it’s not as hit with everyone as his ‘ Angel Beats!’ work was. The fact that he is making new works of art is more important to me than making a mediocre sequel to ‘Angel Beats!’ for the sake of making it. His new works may not connect with as many people as his ‘Angel Beats!’ work did, but they are his current passion. That’s what we should respect as well – the creator and his work. No sequel = creator is moving on, we should too.

Does Overflow anime have a second season?

8 Antworten2026-06-20
This series would have to precede No Game No Life and Spice and Wolf sequels (or at least be in the tier of shows that fans are desperately petitioning for) to get a second season of Overflow. But as it stands, it’s a short, somewhat niche, somewhat ecchi series. It served a purpose to those who wanted it and has been mostly ignored by those who didn’t. It’s not a series with some giant, unresolved plot point that would require further development. The way it was developed was suitable to the type of story that it was. And no, there is likely no one even working on continuing it. The ending is somewhat open to interpretation, but as it stands, it is mostly self contained.

Is 'Milf Hunting in Another World' getting an anime adaptation?

7 Antworten2025-06-09
Has the author made any comment on the matter? Occasionally an author will hint at something in the afterword to a book or on their web-site. Then again sometimes they may discuss the possibility of a voice version on their social media. The only real clue here is if the author is involved in discussions re potential voice artists or is listing the various animation studios that they visit. Otherwise, silence means nothing is happening. It’s a gray area as authors are usually as in the dark as fans regarding any progress on a project until contracts are signed. Even then, they may have dreamed up the thing but be unable to comment on it. The author’s silence on the matter is a bad sign. Being coy or evasive might mean that something is being worked on though.

Is Nano Machine light novel getting an anime adaptation?

8 Antworten2026-03-29
Korean webtoons are slowly but surely making their way to anime, but the pipeline for adaptations from these “source materials” is currently much slower than for domestic manga. It’s nice to think that I could trade five generic isekai announcements for an adaptation of Nano Machine, but the industry runs on a different barter system than I do. We’re relying on the success of the adaptation of Solo Leveling as the first major test case for Korean webtoons as source material for anime, and that could pave the way for the other big ones, including Nano Machine. Will we get an anime adaptation of Nano Machine after the current batch of webtoon adaptations prove to be financially viable? That’s the real question here.

Does the outlander finale season 7 follow Diana Gabaldon's book plot?

4 Antworten2025-12-29
My perception of the show’s finale was that it remained true to the spirit of the novels rather than adhering rigidly to each book. While long, the novels of Diana Gabaldon are very dense. To make way for viewing, things were compressed and reworked in order to read well on screen. So, while some favorite chapters from the novels were no doubt included, others were likely to be cut and the scenes rearranged. However, the central relationships in the story and the mains springs of conflict were mostly successfully conveyed. It’s not quite the same reading the books and then watching the show, versus just watching the show – there are lots of nuances and side plots that get left out in the adaptation, but they were included in the books for a reason, and the way they were left out in the show made sense for the story as it was told. I thought the show did a great job of capturing the essence of the characters and the emotional arc of the story, even when it left out a lot of book-length detail. Overall, I felt warmed by the ending of Outlander, and left feeling a little wistful, too.
