What Reading Order Should I Follow For My Werewolf System Online Chapters?
I got into the My Werewolf System webnovel and there are side stories, patreon exclusives, and main arcs—makes my head spin! Any timeline chart fans use to track everything?
The most important thing is to not skip the so-called 'slice of life' chapters. They're not filler. The character development and system experimentation that happen there are foundational. I've seen readers say 'skip to chapter 30 where the first big fight happens,' and that's a terrible idea. You won't understand the protagonist's motivations or how his abilities work. The slow build is part of the charm. It makes the action meaningful. So, order is simple: every chapter, in sequence, no exceptions.

I'm more curious about where to read it legally without a ton of ads. The order seems straightforward, but the reading experience on some sites is so cluttered it's hard to focus. That's a bigger barrier than any order puzzle.

I read based on community hype. When I see a flood of fanart or intense discussion about a specific chapter, I'll jump to that chapter to see what the fuss is about. Yeah, I get spoiled on everything else, but I get to experience the big moments with the fandom in real-time.
It's a backwards way to read, but it connects me to the community excitement. I'll then go back and read the lead-up to understand the context. It's not for purists, but it's a valid way to engage if the social aspect is your main draw.

Oh, the dreaded reading order question. I fell into a rabbit hole with this. Some fan wikis tried to create a 'chronological' order including flashbacks, but it's a mess and not worth it. The narrative is presented in the order the author intended. If you're on the official app, just use the 'Next Chapter' button. If you're reading elsewhere, be wary of 'Chapter 45.5' or 'Interlude: X'—those are part of the sequence and shouldn't be skipped. They often contain crucial character moments that set up future arcs.

Watch out for recap chapters. Some web serials, after a long hiatus or at the start of a new volume, will post a 'story recap' chapter. You should obviously read those if you need a refresher, but they're not new content. Skipping them won't hurt the story order, but reading them might save you from being lost.
They're usually clearly titled 'Recap' or 'Previously On...' Treat them as optional, based on your memory.

In a world that has long considered werewolves a myth, old blood is stirred again when Raven—an ordinary young man living on the brink of collapse—is suddenly chosen by something that shouldn't exist.
A mysterious system emerges within him: the Werewolf Evolution System.
At first, Raven thinks it's just a delusion... until the first night of the moon changes. His bones crack, his blood boils, and something inside him begins to "awaken."
But the transformation isn't just a curse. It's the beginning of evolution.
Every battle he wins, every enemy he defeats, and every drop of blood he sheds, the system evolves, giving him new abilities, new forms... and a dark side that's increasingly difficult to control.
Behind it all, the world begins to stir.
The secret government, werewolf hunters, and the Alphas of various packs begin to sense something unnatural—a werewolf who defies the rules of natural evolution.
Because Raven isn't just a human who became a werewolf.
He's an anomaly.
And when the final “evolution path” opens, Raven will be forced to choose:
Become king among monsters… Or lose herself completely and become a disaster that even the Alphas can't stop.
But one big question remains:
Who really created the Werewolf Evolution System—and what is Raven's true purpose?

On my sixteenth birthday, everything changes. One moment I'm your below-average girl—the next moment, I’m a monster.
A werewolf.
As a danger to society, and with my parents' refusal to help me, I have no other choice but to go to the werewolf place. Nothing prepares me for what waits for me inside the Academy of the Moon.
Not only do I learn that the horrid tales I’d been told about werewolves were not true—but that I am different from the others. This results in my being a scapegoat for condemnation.
What’s even worse is that the boy who marked me might be a murderer. He’s on the loose. Will he come back for me? Am I turning into an evil beast, like him?
And then, there’s Elijah Ledger. The future alpha—a gorgeous werewolf who appears to be bearing dark secrets from everyone. I’m drawn to him. But he’s a magnet for misfortune, and his secrets start to unveil themselves.
While I’m dealing with an array of problems, including a jealous girl who can’t stand my newfound attention from Elijah—one by one, students are getting attacked at the academy. The big question is: who is it? And why are they doing it?
Things get ugly—and I am caught in the middle of it.

" Not you three again" she laid back flat on the bed with her hands blocking the view of her eyes.

Man, I binged this last year and had zero clue there was a 'reading order.' I just read what was on the site. It made sense. Maybe we're overthinking it?
The light novel volumes sometimes consolidate or rearrange webnovel chapters for better flow. So if you read the webnovel first, then pick up the light novel, things might feel slightly out of order or paced differently. Personally, I think the light novel version is the definitive, edited experience. So the 'correct' order is the light novel volume order, then you can optionally continue with the raw webnovel chapters if you need more.
Honestly, just follow the publication dates on Lezhin's Korean site, even if you can't read it. The chapter list there is the canonical order. Any discrepancies in fan translations usually come from someone trying to insert a side story or omake in the wrong place. The main plot of 'Jinx' is pretty linear, so you shouldn't get lost if you go from Chapter 1 onward.
If you see a chapter labeled with a decimal like '18.5', that's likely a side story and can be read after the chapter it's attached to. I'd save all those for after catching up to the main story, though, to avoid breaking the narrative tension.
Why read it at all when the writing quality dips so hard after book two? The concept is cool, but the execution becomes a repetitive grind. You can find better system-based progression fantasies on Royal Road with consistent quality and free, full access.
'Save state' stories or something like 'Defiance of the Fall' offer more for less frustration, honestly.
I'm just here for the comments because I dropped it around chapter 150. Got a bit repetitive for me. But when I was reading, I just followed the Webtoon list. Seemed fine.
Sometimes the official sites get cloned by phishing scams that look identical. Always double-check the URL. 'webnovel.com' is correct, not 'web-n0vel.com' or something similar. Bookmark the real site once you find it to avoid this hassle in the future.
It's a basic internet safety practice, but it's easy to forget when you're excited to start a new story. Taking that extra second can prevent a lot of potential account or data theft.
