The spoon dipped as if bowing, scooped out two teaspoons of sugar, and set itself back on the table beside the coffee cup. Then the sugar bowl headed toward Magenta and poised itself in midair as her spoon paused beside it. “One, please.” Magenta smiled as she glanced over at me, obviously enjoying my reaction. Once the sugar bowl and spoon were finished, they settled themselves back onto the table in their respective places. At one point, Ath's tiny hand managed to grab the edge of the spoon, and he pulled it towards him, trying to drink directly from it.
