“I passed out, though,” I said, my gaze dropping. “That doesn’t seem like a sign of bravery to me. I felt… weak,” I admitted quietly.
“That is a weakness of the body, not of the mind,” said Li Wei, and his voice almost sounded kind. “You were determined, Young Luna. You went in with your head held high, and you got back up when you were knocked down. That, to me, is the sign of true courage; of true determination, grit, and bravery.”
