11 Minutes Novels & Stories

“Six minutes.” Eli paused, his brows raised in confusion. “What?” “You will kneel for six minutes.” Eli opened his mouth again. “Wait, what the hell? You can’t just—” “Ten minutes for countering me and fifteen for using a profanity.” “What?! That’s not fair! You—” “Twenty.” Eli sputtered. “But I didn’t—” “Thirty.” He shut up immediately as the fight drained out of him. He couldn’t believe his fucking ears.

She would have to find out. “Three minutes, impressive.” Tony said, looking at his phone. The pitch black sky began to fade, and soon enough everything went back to normal. “Although, it would’ve taken me less than three seconds.”, he said grinning. Míriel groaned and slapped him at the back of the head.

He was gasping for breath and looked exhausted. The crowd heard some sort of crackling sound as the obsidian started to light up which made the crowd's eyes widen in awe. “One light! Two lights!” The lights paused for nine seconds before turning off. The first light dimmed one second before the third light would light up meaning that the young man’s result was two lights at nine seconds. One second more and he would have qualified for the test.

He has twenty minutes between practice and a media call, which means by the time he walks through the door with his hair still damp and his practice jersey clinging to his chest – in the way that makes the fabric look like it’s been painted onto his body rather than pulled over it – we have approximately eighteen minutes. Two minutes will be spent on him finding his keys because he never puts them in the same place twice, which leaves sixteen, and I need at least four of those to feel like a person afterward instead of a pit stop, which leaves twelve, and twelve minutes is what we have.

Eren nodded his head while smiling proudly. “The time it took Eren to complete the mission was thirty-seven minutes. For the other Jaguar team members, they can still beat Eren. You only need to finish this game in under thirty-seven minutes,” said Captain Arnold. "Well, I still have hope of winning. I will complete this mission as soon as possible," said Ben determined.

Six years of learning exactly which tone meant what was coming next and bracing accordingly. I sat down at the head of the table. Slowly. Deliberately. The way Damien sat in rooms, like the furniture had been placed specifically for him and the timing of his arrival was the only correct one and everything else was simply waiting for him to begin. I folded my hands on the table. I looked at Aiden. "Four minutes and forty seconds," I said. He blinked. "What?" "You have four minutes and forty seconds remaining," I said. "I'd suggest using them more efficiently than you have been."

He held her by the waist without hesitation. Rachel gave a sneering smirk. She stopped hesitating and wrapped her arms firmly around Tyler's waist. Just then, the referee called out, "Alright! Now all you have to do is hold that position for sixty minutes!" The crowd burst into chatter. "What? Sixty minutes?" The referee quickly corrected himself. "Oops, my bad, not sixty minutes. I meant one minute. Just one!" Everyone let out a collective sigh of relief. "That scared the hell out of me. I thought I was going to pass out from lack of oxygen!"

The floor shifted again, deeper this time, a vibration running up through the soles of my feet into my spine. Eleven minutes. Probably less now.

I asked in anticipation as I saw Tristan. "So what?" Tristan asked, infuriating me. I was already impatient after I was shoved into the store room and he was prolonging the torture. "What's his time?" "Well, his timing is...," he paused for dramatic effect, "nineteen minutes and ten seconds, plus ten minutes minus twenty six minutes and fifty seconds plus five seconds multiplied by two and then divided by three, plus one hour minus fifty two minutes and thirty eight seconds-" "Tristan! Shut up and tell me his exact timing!" I knew I was close to punching Tristan by now if he kept this up.
