“Obviously. Yes. Get up off my floor.” He gets up so fast that he nearly slips on the pancake, and then he has me, arms around my waist and my feet off the ground, and I’m laughing into his neck and my side hurts and I don’t care at all. Derek is whooping. Sage is crying. Marcus has blueberries in his mouth and is clapping anyway. Mia clicks her stopwatch. “Eleven seconds,” she announces. “You took too long, Mommy.” “I was making a point.”

He said. “12 minutes flat?” I asked. “Yeah.” He said. So I looked up at the obstacle and I started shaking out my muscles and ignored the ones that were still hurting from the day before. “Oh. You have to go to the end and back in 12 minutes.” Justin said, correcting himself.

“So you should probably understand what those two ugly men are doing at Second Master’s home by now.” ‘Yes!’ Sotiria would have to be an idiot if she still couldn’t understand at this point! “Second Master has made accurate calculations. The effects of that solution on a human will only start working in eleven minutes after consumption. Given my superb driving skills, we will only need fifteen minutes to get from here to Second Master’s house. If we run through all red lights, nine minutes should be enough.” Lucas showed Sotiria his watch. “So get in the car, or you’ll miss the show.”

Then I stuff my dirty things back into the bag, slide my feet into my trainers, and head out. Levi is standing by the door to the gym and he glances up as he sees me approach, then down at his watch. “Oh, wow. You really did mean ten minutes. I was expecting to wait like an hour.” I scoff. “Why would that take an hour?” He laughs. “Why the fuck would I know? It only takes me ten minutes, but girls always say they’ll be ten mins, and then they’re like forty to sixty.” He shrugs. I raise an eyebrow at him.

When it finally subsides, I'm trembling and gasping, still locked together with him inside me. "Twenty minutes." His voice is ragged. "That's how long the knot lasts." "Twenty minutes?" I'm so full I can barely think. "Plenty of time for the others to get ready." He brushes hair from my sweaty forehead. "You're doing so well, little mate. Three more to go."

Fifteen minutes pass, then twenty. At twenty-three minutes, the screen lights. Adrian has replied. “This one hurts less because it is true.”

I then readjusted the guns on the wall to my liking, putting all the different brass knuckles in one box afterwards. I closed the door behind me as I jumped on my bed, finally done with all of it. "Two more minutes and I'll head down," I thought to myself. It was 4:30 p.m, so I still had time. Or at least, that's what I thought until my father's voice boomed throughout the house. "Athena Hendrix! Down here now!" I flinched, quickly getting up and tilting my head in confusion. "I thought he said til five," I spat.

"That's enough. You're too exaggerated." "Am I?" Justin pretended to be innocent, "I did it out of instinct. Sorry, I'm sorry." "How much time?" Tim gritted his teeth, feeling so annoyed. Justin clapped his hands with a smile. "Not bad. You did a good job. Thirty-eight seconds. You're awesome." This speed was actually a draw with Justin's record. It couldn't be considered a win, but he definitely didn't lose. Tim let out a sigh of relief, glancing at Anne. "Miss Violet, it's your turn..."

said Zero, as if his decision could not be contested. Zeva thought, "Well, turns out he's loud as well as Sis Runa and Bro Gamma." "Wait a minute, it's 15:39 here. That means it's already 02:39 in the morning there," said Zero, which made Zeva imagine that Zero was checking his watch. "Oh my gosh Zeva, you are already eating unhealthy food, and even staying up late again. Hurry up and sleep, don't stay up late!" ordered Zero.
