"The gods know I need all the protection I can get in this castle." She murmured and she started walking away. Leaving Sal in dismay and annoyance. "Why do you look so glum? All these beautiful ladies are here to see you." Lord Rowan said as he stood next to the Crown Prince Caspian. Together they both watched carriage after carriage arrive. Ten girls in total. It should have been twelve, but two of the noble families already had married daughters. No daughter of them born of noble blood was available to participate. The two of them were as different as day and night. One dark haired with hair as black as night and the other fair headed with his golden mane glistening in the sun.

the same girl said, voice shaking like she was about to cry. “Because she’s a liar,” Janice said coldly, raising her brow. No filter. “If you’re really the princess,” she continued, “then I’m sure you already know that the King and Queen are coming to visit the university.” I looked at Stelle. Her eyes widened in shock. She dropped the book she was holding. “You’re lying…” she whispered. “No royals ever visit here. This is a school for humans.” Her friend chuckled awkwardly, trying to play it off as a joke.

“And the princess?” “Lyra keeps her usual four, and the family wing watch besides.” I looked at the map, at the small, quiet corner that held my firstborn’s room, far from the ballroom, behind three locked doors, inside a double-warded wall, in the most defended wing of the most defended castle on the continent. “She makes her appearance, charms the room, and is asleep with guards on her door before the second dance. Belle Rose and Fatima knew that Prince Willem will not fall in love with any of them as they had a strange feeling that Prince Willem will fall in love with Belle Rose.

They had fairy lights hanging all around, fake snow and mistletoes, and the stage resembled Elsa's ice castle from Frozen. I scanned the room to find Hallee, who was busy dancing with her boyfriend and Gabe was also nearby, standing three feet away from wherever Maddie was at. When Hallee noticed that I was looking at her, she waved for me to come over and join her on the dance floor. I simply shook my head and mouthed a 'no'. I wanted to stay here and keep my eyes on the door, so that when my prince finally comes, I wouldn't miss him.

Diane and Liz entered the Ballroom, she was mesmerized with around the Ballroom, Castle Ballroom typed two floors with stairs in the middle of the room, decorated with several chairs and round tables, the lights there shined like crystals, she had never visited Gala like this, maybe she also has not followed the trend, in fact this is America, no doubt the progress changes very fast happening

While the other 25 girls from the last dance, were positioned at the training ground, including me. Piper wasn’t here. She was sent to the maid section, as she didn’t pass this level. But was qualified enough to serve in the castle, and not die. “Each chess piece, starting from the Knight to the Rook, in this castle, has a certain number of soldiers assigned to them.” Lady Lydia continued. “The order of hierarchy, determines the amount. However, the beast has the most and we’re all under him.” she explained. “So will the Queen, when she is discovered,”

Time passed, and night came. Prince Dylan is also in the car, and they are traveling to Paradise Castle.
