I walk into the Cathedral and was once again amazed. The marble flooring leaves me breathless. The artwork of both Donatello and Michelangelo litter the walls. Each piece is unique in its own right. I continue on to the next building, making my way around the walkway. Next up is the Duomo Crypt. It has scenes of the new testament. I was told that they have completely forgotten about it and only rediscovered in 1999. Nest up is the Baptistery of St. John. It was built in a more gothic style. On the outside, it looks like the marble is unfinished. I walk in and see the baptistry is sculpted bronze, marble, and gold.

They asked them where they were, and he told them that they were camped outside the town. When asked why they can’t just use one of the lodgings in the town, Donatello got stumped and Joan saved him saying, “We can’t possibly afford that.”

I couldn’t help but remember Donatello telling me that he believed that he saw him somewhere, and hearing what Sienna was telling me, I couldn’t help but believe that he was indeed using magic. Donatello was not the type to forget who a person was. If anything, he was almost always very accurate when it came to his memory of faces. It was one of the reasons why he was dangerous when angered. He was not a man to be messed with nor was he the type to allow random mistakes to just slide.
