His eyes, which had been weak and unfocused, now blazed with a terrifying, murderous light as he saw the man behind me. "Tom," he growled. "Let her go." I was in shock, my mind a complete blank. I knew who the man behind me was—Tom Salvatori, the underboss of the Salvatori family. His men had attacked me before. Donatello had put a price on his head, but he’d obviously escaped and found me.

Martin gripped his hand and struggled to free himself, but the mafia boss was not about to let him go easily. Martin's entire body stiffened, his hand dropped, and his neck shifted to one side of his head. When Donatello noticed this, he left him to fall to the ground. But instead of falling, Martin immediately spun around and plunged a pen-knife into Don's lower abdomen.

Lorenzo, Mariano, Gianna, each one silent, watching as the screen bloomed to life. A chamber bathed in candlelight appeared and there he was, Donatello. I wrap my arms around the back of him tightly, causing this tattooed pierced giant in front of me to tighten his hold on me, his face going to rest ontop of my head. "Who the hell is this softy." Tio teases, his arms going around Enzo and Santino. I feel the giant black-haired stranger remove his arms from around me and glare at all of them, before turning towards me with a soft look and a smile. "I'm Donatello." He said softly making me smile a him. I mean... I know I'm not supposed to have favourites right... But I mean... Come on. It's a no brainer really.
