Chapter 17 Damien Priest POV I walk into my apartment cracking my neck. I throw my car keys in the tray by the door. I walk further. It was a long fucking night. It’s three in the damn morning and all I want to do now is sleep until the sun sets. Amara’s plan worked like a fucking bomb I couldn’t be prouder of her. With the help of Amara’s friend, we found the entire container. Who would have thought Amara’s crazy idea she brought up weeks ago would work.

Seducing The Mafia Lord's Stepbrother

Seducing The Mafia Lord's Stepbrother

Amy's POV Sleep was like an enemy that avoided me for most of the night. I think I managed to get about two hours, and within those two hours, I was run over by nightmares of what could have occurred. Madam Loretta had my phone, so I wasn't able to reach out to Antonio. I don't know if he even wanted me to reach out to him when he was out like this. My mind was racing, but after what she told me last night, I was rethinking just how involved I wanted to be in all this if I should just keep to my lane and not step out from the boundaries that had been placed in front of me. Maybe that would be easier, and maybe I could hold on to my neck longer instead of losing it foolishly.

Do Me To The Full: The Love That Finds Me

Do Me To The Full: The Love That Finds Me

Victor broke the silence first. "Please tell me somebody has a backup plan." Nobody answered. Because nobody did. Daniel tightened his grip around Amara's hand. In the darkness, he could feel her trembling. Not from fear. From the connection. The voices inside her head were becoming stronger. Millions of minds. Millions of emotions. Millions of people trapped inside a war they didn't understand. A faint emergency light finally flickered back to life. Then another. And another. The station was painted in a dim red glow.

True Luna's Return

True Luna's Return

Morana Ambrose. As I woke up next morning, preparing to leave for work, my mind was consumed by the unwanted thoughts about what happened last night. No matter how hard I try to push them all back, they bounce back with full force. I forced myself to stop thinking about last night’s events and got ready for work.

How We End II

How We End II

Chapter 21 I was at work the next day. When I got back to my apartment yesterday, I felt really tired and slept off immediately I stepped out of the shower and threw a big tee on. I ended up waking up earlier than usual by 4 AM and couldn't bring myself to sleep back so I just watched a N*****x show on my phone until it was time to start getting ready for the day. My mind was also occupied with thoughts of Dean and how his mood changed after his phone call with his girlfriend, Amber. He looked really downcast and upset.

Rebirth: Annabel's Revenge

Rebirth: Annabel's Revenge

Amma chipped in. “Ohhhh… I didn't realize it's such a piece of cake!” I can't believe she's making it seem so easy. I've avoided the clinic for days. It's been hard controlling how this thing works. I just keep hearing thoughts that don't interest me. Now, I know how dirty-minded people are. You smile widely at someone and your thoughts are strangling them? What a pity. That is what Amma calls a gift. “Are you sure she'll show up?” For the first time today, Amma is showing a valid concern by asking this question.

Chasing Their Unloved Luna

Chasing Their Unloved Luna

It’s bad enough that I can’t train while pregnant so I am overthinking things. “Tobias, stop overthinking. Talk to me if you need to,” Amina says, looking up from the report she is reading. “Or, if it helps you to get out of your head, read over one of these reports for me and see what you can discern from it. Maybe a fresh set of eyes will help me gain a new perspective on this situation.” I stop pacing and sit on the sofa in her office with one of the reports. SHe has been over these a dozen times. It’s the reports flooding in from all over the country about The Riders and The Shades.

THE GOODBYE HE MISSED

THE GOODBYE HE MISSED

Would 8 AM work? Longer-term. She looked at Adrian sleeping in the recliner. She thought about *longer-term* and what it contained — all the days that came after the critical window, all the ordinary days of recovery, all the Tuesday afternoons. She thought about what she had said to Amara: the wrong address. She thought about what Amara had said back: are you sure? She did not have an answer to that. She was not going to have one tonight. Tonight there was the room and the monitors and her son and the man sleeping in the chair and the text from the nurse that she was going to confirm in the morning.

great start..concise with nuances. hope it would end the same way. not tooo many chapters that the main characters became watered down with so many side stories. i'm reading along slowly... so that i don't have to wait for updates. keep up the good work, dear author!

I'm only on chapter 5 of this story and I'm so invested. It's well written and I love how the female lead, Sophia, is depicted. I hope things work out for her and the children, away from the man who doesn't recognize the value in the family he's neglected.

The Forgotten Bride

The Forgotten Bride

Amara's POV It started with a headline. I wasn’t looking for him. God knows I had spent the last few weeks doing everything not to think of him. But when you’ve loved a man like Liam Hart, the world doesn’t let you forget him. I had purposely left the television in my office on but on low volume. All these I did because I needed some sort of white noise that would keep me sane during those endless back to back meetings. My thoughts kept drifting to Liam during them and I needed a way to keep myself grounded. I needed something that would make me think of only the exhausting meeting I was in.
