I really had to stop doing this before this man would get the idea that I was giving him soft signs. I stood still for a while and crossed my arms. "You should really stop," I said as I crossed my arms covering my breasts and hoping that he wont see how fast my heart was beating. "I cant though. I have been having these nightmares," he said softly. "I keep seeing flames, I hear someone screaming and then, I see a woman crying. I cant tell who the woman is but she is sobbing and then I hear vows. Beautiful vows."

Badar said “Badar you can’t call yourself horrible just because you felt jealous of John, it’s normal to feel that” Badar shakes his head “I’m not talking about that. Did you know that I used to get nightmares in which I would hear people screaming? I used to think that it was from a memory of the day mom died, well imprisoned. They went away when I met you, but when I thought you had died they returned again. Now I think they are the screams of people whose families I have hurt. I have done so many horrible and unforgiving things that even thou you have returned, the screams still won’t go away” Badar said as a single tear fell from his eye.

And then, my life would flash before my eyes as I screamed. I would wake up, sweating profusely and panting heavily. Once I managed to calm down, I'd try to go back to sleep only to awaken later in a different state. This happened countless times. Every night, the same nightmare would plague me until I finally fell asleep around three in the morning.

Elena POV Warm arms wrapped around my naked back, pulling me closer to an even warmer chest as I jerked awake for the third time in a row this week. I marked a mental note, ‘seven.’ Since I started counting, it was exactly the seventh time I’d had the same nightmare. “What is it?” Draven’s voice was husky with sleep and his warm breath fanned the back of my neck, “another nightmare?” “Yes,” I breathed out shakily, letting his closeness comfort me.

Not a snake. A monster, a snake the color of obsidian, as broad as a truck, with three enormous heads, each dotted with repulsive brown blotches that writhed like squirming shadows. Each of its heads turned independently, searching the camp, tongues in and out as though it could scent our fear. One head spat at the soldiers. Another struck at us. The third merely stared. My jaw hung open. So did Kira's. We didn't budge. We were staring at a nightmare brought to life.

8:54 AM. Harmon leaned back. Chair creaked. Looked at grandkid photo. Then at me. “My granddaughter,” Harmon said. Quiet. Not judge. Human. “Lily. 5. She had nightmares. Last month. About a man in her window. There was no man. But she believed it. So I slept on her floor. 3 AM. 4 AM. 5 AM. Until she didn’t believe it anymore. That’s what 3 AM means. Isn’t it.”

She grabbed my shoulders shaking them. “What the actual hell Nia!” she screamed loud enough for the entire building or country to hear her. “Shhh.” I said placing a hand over her mouth. “We have neighbours.” I reminded her. “Fuck them.” She said practically bouncing in her seat. “Don’t get so excited. It’s been hell since.” I confessed. She stopped bouncing her expression turning dark. “Explain.” She urged.

Noah ~•~ “You mean the nightmares didn’t stop already?” Katie asked me as we walked down the hallway. “Yeah.” I nodded my head. “It has happened three straight nights now,” I added, exhaling deeply. For the past two months, I’ve been haunted by the same recurring nightmare. Each time, a bizarre creature appears, a horrific mix of a werewolf and something else entirely indescribable. I always jerk out of my sleep and back to reality whenever it appears in my dream. The first night it happened about two months ago, I didn't think too much about it. I just assumed it was a normal nightmare.

My hands were shaking and my heart, racing. What a terrible nightmare. I didn't understand what it meant but it was so agonizing. I had always had these nightmares since I was sixteen. I didn't know why I had them, and what was worse; it was always the same and still very dreadful. In my nightmares, I found myself in a thick black forest. It was around 3am in the morning; the devil's hour. I don't know how I always got there but all I know was that, my dream always start with that scene. Someone very dear to me was kneeling on the floor, crying so bitterly.

“Close your eyes and go back to your bed, Jennah...” She opened her eyes and then bolted upright. She was in her room. Turning, she glowered at the clock. It was only four in the morning. Her heart was still trembling out a loud beat from his touch. She touched her throat and could swear it felt as real as the mouth in her dreams had.
