I decided to include the stages of grief anyway, at least as a way to relate to my readers who were surely familiar with the concept, even if it was total bogus. They say that first you're shocked, and then you progress through denial, anger, bargaining, depression and then finally onto acceptance. I think any of us who have had a relationship end because of dishonesty have felt a level of shock, perhaps even denial.
