Novel & Cerita 70 Years Passed When I Woke Up!

>>Maya (Present time) Every time I had nightmares I woke up with a jump even though I would forget everything when I opened my eyes. But, unlike all those times, this time I woke up normally. My eyelids opened slowly and I remembered everything. Every single detail of that day from seven years ago that was supposed to be special yet turned into the most horrific day of my life. I sat up slowly and slumped against the back of the bed, took a soft deep breath and then gave myself a painful smile.

Without resisting, I let the current carry me to a place where there was no pain, only emptiness. *** I woke up and found myself inside a hospital room. After a brief recollection, I remembered how I wound up there. I passed out in the middle of a room full of people and was brought to a hospital. Gently, I eased myself from the bed and leaned on the headboard. My gaze drifted to the open window of my room and found myself staring into a beautiful morning sky. A sudden realization hit me, and my gaze snapped to the direction of the wall clock to confirm it. The time on the wall told me it was seven in the morning, which meant I had slept for more than eighteen hours!

My apartment from seven years ago. I scrambled to my feet, nearly stumbling. The mirror on the wall reflected a version of me I hadn’t seen in years. Younger. My phone buzzed on the bedside table. The date on the lock screen made my stomach drop. It was seven years before meeting him. My knees gave out as I sank to the floor, trembling. A sob breaking free, burning all the feelings I had left for him. “I’m alive.”

Seven days. I had been locked in this bedroom for exactly seven days. I counted the passage of time by the way the pale winter light shifted across the hardwood floorboards and disappeared behind the heavy curtains. Seven days had passed since the freezing rain. Seven days since his weight crushed me into the mattress, and the raw, agonizing scream tore out of my own throat. The sound proved my voice was not dead. It was alive, and the realization terrified me so deeply I had not made another sound since.

I woke up in such a hazy state, I recalled somebody calling me. That was what made me woke up from my sleep. I had a pretty long sleep, I was guessing, because when I woke up I could not remember what day or date it was and what time it was. I could not even figure out whether it was day time or night time. My realization came very very slowly, like somebody who just got their conciousness back after getting knocked out by a gang of thieves.

A frosty smile stretched across my lips. I looked at the nurse and said, "I'd like to make a police report about a murder that happened 20 years ago. I've slept for too long. Now that I'm awake, it's time for me to settle the score."

"But you have no record of your eighteenth year. Nine years ago, your memory was wiped Do you remember why?" ​A sudden, piercing ring echoed in my ears. I reached back into my mind, searching for my eighteenth year, but my thoughts struck a familiar, icy wall of pure, impenetrable darkness. I remembered being a teenager. I remembered waking up in a local hospital at nineteen, my body broken, my mind hazy, being told I had survived a terrible fall down a ravine near the historic Vance estate. I had forgotten the entire year leading up to it. My parents told me I had once mentioned a boy named Julian, but I had never brought him home.

I quickly got up and realized my hand was connected to an IV drip. I looked around and it wasn't looking like a hospital. “You're awake,” someone said by my side. “Ahh—” I screamed but was choked by a cough. My throat felt hoarse, and I coughed, fixing my eyes on him. “You’ve been unconscious for twenty seven minutes, and the first thing you do after waking up is yell. Do you want to choke yourself to death?” Sky said as he poured me a cup of water, then handed it to me, which I quickly received.

~Trish's POV~ *Present Time* I woke up with a major hang over and I wanted to hit my head on the wall to end my misery. It’s not just the hang over but I had so many things that were bothering me. So where do I begin? Three months ago, I woke from a two year coma. Imagine waking up to a different life, like a complete stranger in your own life. It was as if I woke up to live someone else's life. They told me that I got into a car accident and almost died. Apparently, I sold Legacy after that my car got hit by a truck. I wish that is what my memory tells me but it doesn’t.

I had no idea when I slept but when I woke up I saw that we were surrounded by road. “Where are we now?” I blinked trying to understand my surroundings. “Look who decided to come awake, seven hours later.” “What? There’s no way it’s been that long?” “Don’t worry, we are almost at the hotel, I stopped for a refill.” “My poor baby,” I teased him, “you must have been bored to death while I was busy sleeping.” He shrugged one shoulder, glancing at me for one second,”you looked so angelic and peaceful sleeping, we are lucky we didn’t crash because I spent the whole time admiring your face baby girl.”
