he gestured outside. Without wasting time, I hurried to the doors, stepping outside into the darkness that had covered the earth. I gazed up at the sky, and my eyes widened in horror. The once blue sky was now red. There wasn't a single star in the sky. and in the middle was a blood moon. Fuck, no! It can't be.

I realized, after walking on the empty, deserted road, that walking and crying was not a promising idea. The desolated path was shrouded by a dense canopy of towering trees, their branches interlacing like skeletal fingers reaching towards the heavens. The moon, hidden behind dark clouds, cast intermittent shadows that danced eerily along the uneven pavement. The chorus of chirping crickets filled the night air, their relentless symphony punctuated by the occasional croak of a frog from a nearby pond.

I glance back to both Maddie and Mykhol. “What is-” My voice gets lost in the roaring crowd. Maddie only smiles and nods forward. I follow her stare to gasp at the sight. “What?” All I see are flashes of red. The sky is red with roses. “They-” I feel my breath stop as the crowd throws more up. It’s endless. I see more fly and fall just before me. They travel up the stairs. Again, I look back at Maddie. ‘Go on,’ Maddie mouthed, encouraging, Not a trace of fear on her face.

Torches lined the perimeter, their flames flickering and casting warm, golden light on the faces of those gathered. The members of the pack huddled together, whispering excitedly as they awaited the arrival of the bride candidates who hailed from the world’s most powerful packs. The crowd’s murmurs blended with the music, creating a vibrant symphony of sound that filled the night. The sky above was a canvas of deep indigo, dotted with twinkling stars, crowned by an ethereal full moon that bathed the evening in a magical glow.

I wanted to feel him touch me. The lights in the Lake House dimmed and slowly turned off, the darkness enveloping us. I looked up to the heavens, feeling his breath on my neck. The stars twinkled in the clear sky, constellations and planets glimmering in their eternal dance. A splash of light illuminated the sky, followed by another and another. Colors exploded against the stars, streaming fire from the sky. The crowed oohed and ahhed as the night sky was filled with color.

The sky above Crescent Vale was clear, blessedly, eerily clear, for the first time in nearly a generation. No ash clouds strangling the sun. No crimson moons casting ominous glows over broken rooftops. No electric storms tearing across the skyline like ghosts of a dead empire. Just a pale, honest blue stretching infinitely overhead, as if the heavens themselves were finally willing to look down again.

Just then, the sky lit up with fireworks, brilliant and vast. Drones danced in the sky, spelling out one word. [Claire]

Ella asked in a surprise. "There is only one day left from our engagement." "Engagement" she mumbled to herself. "Ok but have some breakfast first" "It's okay we will eat outside." "Outside" Ella said while looking at Jenny. "Don't worry you guys, enjoy it. I will eat it by myself," Said Jenny with a smirk. "I will deal with you later Jenny," Ella whispered. "Let's go then Ella," Leo asserted

Brenda directed him to the wine bar where she worked, our usual first stop, and settled back in the seat. Night was falling as we headed into the center of the city, and the bright lights from the skyline drown it out. A golden tone climbed into the inky blue, both colors fighting in the sky for their space. They collided in a gorgeous pinky-purple band that stretched out before me, providing an illuminating backdrop for the buildings that reach high up.
