A Scary Story To Write Novels & Stories

"Why don't you write those scary dreams into a story and submit it to the school's literary folio? People would go nuts if you made a story and put a note that said it was based on a true story." My friend Hazel was giving me ideas on how to maximize my time despite the situation I had with Rian. She was a close friend of mine, and she was helping me cope with my situation. Hazel and Pearl are my best friends in college, and we were now hanging out in the cafeteria as I explained to them my situation with Rian, the curse, and even the hallucinations and its effects.

I need you alive to write the damn article.” “Gee, thanks for the concern,” I muttered, but I couldn’t deny the excitement bubbling beneath my fear. This was the first real story I’d had in years, something that wasn’t just roadwork or town meetings. A mystery. It was a real mystery, and I was in the middle of it. But that excitement was quickly tempered by the memory of the creature’s glowing eyes and the sheer terror I’d felt in its presence. Whatever that was, it was no joke.

Sophie The moon hangs high in the night sky, casting an ethereal glow over the fairgrounds. The usual joyous atmosphere twists into an eerie tension as Damian's secret unravels before my eyes. I stand frozen for a moment, my fascination momentarily overpowering the fear that should consume me. The tales of werewolves have always been distant echoes, whispered warnings from from my grandmother to keep curious minds like mine at bay. Yet, here I am, on the front lines of a supernatural battle, witnessing the transformation of humans into majestic, fearsome creatures.

Since I was ten years old, you have been using them as a story to keep me scared. "Because it is true!" I yell, louder than I mean to. The counters reverberate with my words. Do you believe that I wanted any of this? Do you think it's fun for me to lock you up and act like it's normal?

I darted my eyes away quickly-- "You promised," Al said all of a sudden. "What?" I paused in surprise. "No question asked," Al smirked, holding out his hand to me. I was grateful that he didn't ask into it. Night fell. So the thing about horror stories is that-- The fear kicks in only at dark nights when you are alone, not when you are at the crowded theater or on the bright street. Meaning-- I couldn't fall asleep that night. Turns out it's a bit hard to fall asleep when you don't close your eyes because you feel the need to stare at everything with alert.

We would gather around a camp fire, and a teacher would tell us scary stories with monsters as main villains. Now, here I am, fast-forward to a couple of years later, I’m sitting alone with the man who created all my nightmares.
