Some were just simple bedtime stories to help me sleep, but others were scary ghost stories goaded on by Leo. Wanting to be brave like my older brother, I begged for them too. She was a silver-tongued narrator. Whether it was Goldilocks and the Three Bears or an old Italian ghost story, Mom painted pictures so vividly it was as if she’d experienced them firsthand. And I knew what she was about to tell me was a firsthand experience, and she was going to weave an image that would likely keep me up at night wondering if Mattia was going to appear standing over my b

"Conrad, you're really—" An idiot! I didn't get the chance to say the words before Conrad had his hands tightly around my neck. My breath was slowly drained from my chest. Blood dripped from the corner of my mouth. It looked just like the red leaves that had fallen on the ground. "Shirley, are you having another headache?" The cold rain vanished. The hard floor disappeared. The crisp autumn air filled the space, and the room buzzed with guests. It was my 22nd birthday party and my engagement party with Conrad.

Patty groaned with visible frustrations on her face. " Let's just tell some horror stories." My eyes lightened up as I hear horror stories. I love horror stories too. Sheena usually tells me something about horrors. At first, I'll cover my ears and pretend I didn't hear anything from her but sooner it wonders me and catch my interest. I sometimes read one-shot horror stories.

My Grandpa’s story began like this: “Grandpa! I’m glad you came today. Do you have a story to tell me? Make it a scary one! Oh, I know! How about when you were my age, what did you do for Halloween?” “Well, let’s see... when I was fifteen...” “Grandpa!” “What? Oh, right! What did I do on Halloween when I was your age? I don’t know if you should hear this. I mean, it’s not pretty. It’s downright scary as hell!”

“Oh? Well, get some rest. I won’t disturb you.” He raised a brow. “Did I say you were disturbing me? “ “Why no, but...” “I said you can talk to me as long as you want. So, talk about whatever you want until you get sleepy. I’m all ears.” I smiled. “I appreciate that.” He leaned back in his chair. “How long have you been afraid of c thunderstorms?” “Pretty much all my life. Hell, I don’t even like to drive in them. I’ll pull over on the side of the road and wait it out.”

I’m sure everyone knows somethings going on between us but I’m starting not to care. “It’s time to tell ghost stories!!” Becca announces. Anybody got a good one? Everyone looks around but no one volunteers. “Oh shit! What about that night we watched the Gremlins.” Michael says I know exactly what he’s talking about. One of the scariest nights of our lives. “Oh man that was scary tell it Becca!” Christopher yells and everyone’s intrigued. “Rosalie tells it best she remembers the details better because she’s older.” Becca says

Eventually, with time, more and more of these presences will find a place in these vacant and unoccupied spaces, and more people will be aware of them causing more fear that they can feed on. Okay, what is your opinion of the scariest and strangest creature?” Arnold asked as he folded his arms.

Nora concluded in a silk undertone. Impressed by her good storytelling skills, the kids applauded her as they glued their vote stickers on the voting pad. However, amongst the other kids, some people weren't impressed—Gina Adams and minions. "Oh, PUURLEES. . . This is the lamest scary story in the history of lame scary stories," Gina jeered loudly, her tone wielding the usual amount of obnoxity.
