The madness of life

The madness of life

Then the Titan laughed ominously and said to me, " you are doomed to eternity, but you could have had something more – the history of your illness written on the tablets of the book of the earthly mistress Sophia." – Well, you can read your medical history aloud. Janie Lynx. The patient is 33 years old. Suffers from paroxysmal-progredient of schizophrenia. Hallucinatory-delusional syndrome. Pseudo-hallucinations predominate. Nonsense of invention. Convinced that she has invented a time machine, so it seems to her that she travels in time to different worlds. Pretty face, slim build. The patient is prone to suicidal behavior for delusional reasons. You want me to believe this nonsense?

His mania

His mania

Cold air hit my belly and I shivered, I was screaming at him in my mind but my lips were not forming any words as if I am possessed. He tore my clothes completely from my body and starts undressing himself, I was moving my head and looking away from his body, but my body was not with my mind. He place his lips on my neck and starts sucking my skin harshly as if he was punishing me for something I haven’t even done. Tears were flowing from the corner of my eyes but he was unfazed and looking at my body with desire and lust, he touched my boobs and now squeezing them hard. I was in pain, please aiden save me before it’s too late please aiden. I pray in my mind.

A Troubled Mind

A Troubled Mind

No more running. "Thank you." Cara said and turned back to herself. Only to realize that she really was standing there all alone. She was literally now talking to herself. She immediately looked back at the message board and to the mirror. There once again was her face reflecting back at her. Smiling at her reflection she turned and walked back down the sidewalk, back the way she had come. Thinking about the conversation she had just had with her own reflection she couldn't help but laugh at herself. The mind is a funny thing after all. As she walked on she couldn't help but glance down at her imaginary right leg. She wondered if this is what it would always be like? Would she always have it

Forsaken Luna's Revenge

Forsaken Luna's Revenge

“Prepare everything. If she steps foot toward the future, I will strike her down before she enters. I will not lose again.” But then, as they took the first step in fear, unwilling to waste a single moment— Something cracked. I froze. My chest tightened, pain searing through me. My body twisted, jerking as if invisible chains were pulling me apart. The shadows gasped, retreating. “What is happening?” one cried. My scream split the cavern as light and darkness ripped through me at once. My body split down the middle—splintered, torn, dividing into two. Then three.

Fractured

Fractured

I think for a moment of a way to explain this in a way they might all understand. “Imagine a huge room with a corridor that runs the entire length through the middle, separating it into two rooms. The corridor has multiple doors that line each side so you can walk through one door to a door directly opposite that leads to the other room. The corridor is very dark and it is easy to become lost inside but if you walk straight from one door to the other it's not a problem. Now you are in one room and we are in the other, and all the doors on your side have been broken to the point of uselessness. All bar one is broken but there is just enough space to fit through. The problem is that when you a

Started reading this book two days ago, and damnnnnnn!! It’s such a breath of fresh air NOT knowing what’s going to happen next. I love how original this book is. Sadly, I’m all caught up so far, can’t wait for it to be complete, definitely a book I’d reread many times! <3

I know this has been touched on so I guess I'm just not getting it. I just finished chapter 367 and I don't know if I should expect more (or when). I kinda feel like I'm left hanging with Harper not having all of her bonds together. btw love the book!

Faked Deaths and Broken Minds

Faked Deaths and Broken Minds

"You'd better agree to the divorce, or I'm going to tell the whole world what you did, Charlie." His face fell, and he clutched his chest, his eyes closed. I panicked. "So, they're both going to pass out in our villa?" Charlie fell down, and Sophia screamed, "Charlie!" We scrambled to take them to the hospital. Christopher had a stomach ulcer, while Charlie had a myocardial infarction. They were hooked to IVs, and Christopher looked a little better. The doctor said the ulcer was widespread thanks to Christopher's erratic eating. If he kept this up, it would turn into stomach cancer.

Forbidden Bonds: Secrets of the Alpha's Mate

Forbidden Bonds: Secrets of the Alpha's Mate

In others, we go and never return, leaving our reality to tear itself apart. "There's another option," Luna suddenly says, his expression shifting through multiple states of revelation. "The maze showed me... possibilities within possibilities. Ways to be in multiple places at once, just as we're now multiple selves at once." "What are you suggesting?" I ask, though part of me already knows – a memory from a timeline that hasn't happened yet. "We split ourselves," he explains. "Not physically, but quantum-ly. Exist in multiple states simultaneously, just as we're already experiencing multiple memories simultaneously."

The Alpha King's Captive

The Alpha King's Captive

It split apart like a chopstick. With a scream, my mum lurched away, cowering behind a small dresser. I stopped in my tracks, ice settling in my veins. When my fingers throbbed, I brought them to eye level. Claws. I rocked on my feet, horror causing my stomach to drop. Not real. A disquieting sense of calm fell over me, an alternate consciousness I didn't know I'd built surfacing to pick up the pieces of my splintered mind. A part of me had always known this day would come. Hadn't I likened this reckoning to a boiling kettle? Now I could very well hear the high-pitched ringing, see the steam clouding the dark corners of my mind...

Slave to the Wolf King

Slave to the Wolf King

It just turns my stomach. I sighed—her conscience really was a killjoy at times—but squeezed her shoulder again and lifted the compulsion from her brother so he spluttered and sucked in a heavy breath, then raised his head, his brow furrowed. Splitting the weaves of power, I laid several on his mind—each designed as a safety for the others, a cycle in his mind that would turn him unconsciously from any purpose that conflicted with our own. ‘Can you see what I’m doing?’

I love this book so much! It’s so beautifully & powerfully written! I love the profound depth of the characters and how they transform. It is also incredibly hot! There are so many chapters, but every chapter is integral to the storyline and the growth of the characters!
agent_606
honestly one of the best stories on this site. i don’t understand how it’s not at the top of the lists. it’s original, descriptive, the characters are well fleshed out and multi-faceted. the love scenes aren’t cringe inducing teen fantasy garbage. i haven’t read her bother stories but will now

Passionately Devoted to Loving You

Passionately Devoted to Loving You

He nervously closed the file, not knowing if he should let Samson see it or not. It was a diagnosis report. Dissociative Identity Disorder, otherwise known as split personality disorder. It was a kind of mental disorder. It was often confused with dyskinesia, which was named as Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD) in the earlier version of DSM, and later renamed as Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). Split personalities meant that there was more than one personality (if there were only two personalities, it was called “dual personalities”), which was like having several souls living in one body.

actually this book shouldn't be tagged with marriage, obsession, love-triangle or anything related to romance. it should be something like crime, suspense, investigation, mystery... because most of the long winded ones aren't about the romance but the crimes & business rivals
