REJECTED BY LOVE

REJECTED BY LOVE

“I do, and I respect your tenacity. But you made a promise to me; you made a choice.” “A promise? A choice? What are you talking about?” Eloise asks. Stanley lets out a sigh as though the conversation is becoming more difficult with every sentence that they utter. “I did not want to have to bring this up but when I asked you if you wanted to stay in the past or move forward into the future with me, you chose the future. This is not the future, Eloise. If anything, we have taken ten steps backward and immersed ourselves right into the past.”

A Night With The Past

A Night With The Past

my cousin David said when he saw my fear and I nodded. He opened the door with the lead and as I stepped inside, a sea of negative sensations ran through my being from head to toe. I hated that I couldn't suppress the fact that I felt like the young girl I had more than seven years ago, and the trembling of fear cast a shadow over my body. I walked at a slow pace without stopping to see the state of the property, I didn't want to remember more than maybe I would soon, I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I could. I climbed the stairs to the room and noticed that no one was following me, which made me frown. I turned to look at them.

HEAVEN OUT OF HELL

HEAVEN OUT OF HELL

The conclusion was always the same. What she had in mind to do in order to help Billy saving the company, would force her to take a painful walk back in her past. Stephanie knew that every single word she will say to him it will make her feel like being stabbed over and over again with an edgy, dull knife. Her past was a dark place that she had desperately tried to run away from and move on.

Overall, I enjoyed this book with the story of the Graysons &the central story of Isabelle & Shawn. The plot line for them did improve from book 1. It could use some better proofreading & attention to grammar. The Nathaniel kidnapping Stephi bordered on absurd, so basically skimmed that.
PATRICIA POWERS
EXCELLENT!!! Except for a couple of typo errors, this book was amazing. Full of intrigue, suspense, love of characters made this book so great. The preequal to this book is also a great read. Love Emma Swan's books.

His Son, Her Secret

His Son, Her Secret

He stepped up beside Mama, and in an instant, I was twenty-four again, standing on that porch with a small suitcase and swollen eyes, apologizing for a mistake too big to take back. But this time, I wasn’t carrying a suitcase. And I wasn’t bringing an apology. And as we stepped onto the first stone stair, I knew there would be no warm welcome waiting. But I also knew there was no way forward except through. Step by step. No retreat. No permission. The stone steps were just as cold as I remembered, though the morning sun was already warming their edges. We were just reaching the last two steps when a voice broke the air, deep and round.

A Step Back

A Step Back

My wealth began to snowball, growing rapidly. … One year later. On an ordinary afternoon, I drove aimlessly through the city. By some twist of fate, I returned to that familiar intersection. I did not get out. I parked, peering through the tinted windows, quietly observing. Cars streamed by as crowds surged past. Students in uniforms walked across the crosswalk, laughing and teasing in small groups. Sunlight spilled over their young faces, filling them with hope and dreams for the future. I suddenly understood that the one who died in prison in my previous life was not truly my past self.

The Past Is in the Past

The Past Is in the Past

That was why, no matter how cruel he had been, I had never once considered deleting his contact. But after what he did at his birthday banquet, I realized it was no longer necessary. He had moved forward without looking back, so I wasn't going to keep myself trapped in the past. … Spencer stayed by my side as I searched for an apartment, built my résumé, and looked for jobs. He even helped me clean the new place. We didn't talk much as we were each quietly focusing on our own tasks. Then, the doorbell rang. I assumed Spencer had ordered something again, so I opened the door—only to find Zeke standing there.

A Call From the Past

And she's talking about him retaking the SAT? "She's lost it. If Mr. Lockwood's ugly, then what does that make the rest of us?" Charlotte stood there, stunned. I swallowed hard. But this time, I was already on the phone with my 25-year-old self. I was furious. I told her to get it herself and walked straight into the testing center.
