An arm wraps itself around my waist, pulling me back onto a chest and I'm far too drunk to pull away from the stranger, in fact, I hold onto his arm and dance along with him. The next song starts of in a fast beat but my focus and attention wasn't on the music anymore, or the people dancing around me but rather on the man that stood behind me with his hard poking grinding against my ass and his breath hitting against my hot neck before I feel his lips too. “You wanna get outta here, babe?” The stranger questions, shouting in my ear over the music.

Arin presses his face into my side, peeking at the man with wide scared eyes. The stranger walks toward me slowly. Not like a wolf stalking prey. More like someone approaching a wounded animal so it doesn’t bolt or bite. He kneels right in front of me, not caring that he’s getting dirt and blood all over his jeans. “Your arm,” he says quietly. “Let me see.” I want to pull back but I can’t. I’m too drained. And honestly, my arm feels wrong. Like wrong-wrong. He touches it and his fingers are gentle. Careful. Warm. He’s not rough at all. But there’s a tiny shake in his hands, like he’s trying really hard to keep himself calm.

My feet hit the floor again, my body trembling as the stranger’s arms held me still, tight, as if letting go would mean losing something they couldn’t afford to. Someone had pulled me back. Someone was still holding on. My lips trembled, words refusing to come out. My mind spun wildly. Someone still cared about me? Who the hell would do that?

He clawed at the snow, dragging himself toward us inch by inch, rage shaking his frame. The stranger leaned close enough that his breath brushed my cheek—warm, wrong, familiar. “You feel it,” he murmured. “The bond you’ve carried all these years… cracking.” My chest constricted. “And the new one,” he whispered, “trying to replace it.” Arden’s voice broke. “Get your fucking hands off her—” I tried again to pull away—but the stranger’s fingers only slid up my arm, his touch burning through my coat, my skin, my ribs, my bones.

I hugged him tightly, throwing away my cautious mind. I didn’t care who he was but I was sure that it could be someone who was here, either Liam (Xander’s bodyguard) or some other guards. I cried in his arms, not caring that my tears were ruining his shirt. Surprisingly, the stranger hugged me back and soothed my back while I clung to him as a baby monkey does on his or her mother. After a few minutes, I realized what I was doing, so I released myself from that man’s arms and covered my face feeling embarrassed to look at that man.

They then wrap me around their arms and before I knew it, I'm in a hug- tears covering my face. "Why would you do this to me God?! Why!" I cry onto the strangers shoulder. "How could you take her away from me?" the last sentence comes out of my lips, barely above a whisper. A bundle of sobs escape me and there I sit- on the ground- my continuous tears. >< He. He was that stranger. That caught me when I almost fell. Literally this time.

Ivy gave her a meek smile as she watched the stranger led her friend towards the hotel section of the building. She spotted a man seated right beside the exit door. He had a flowing dark hair and it shined in the dimmed light. His hair reminded her of star gazing with her father and she found herself smiling at her childish thought. She couldn't see more of his face as the stranger seemed focus on a newspaper. She sighed and turned her attention back to her drink. Several men approached her but she shot them deadly glares and they all walked away. She kept taking shots waiting for Emily's text message until she became tipsy and she started blanking out.

“Urghh!” I grumbled out of frustration as I watch the tattooed stranger drive out of my street. The jerk made me beg him for sex only to turn me down, apparently he had a child to take care of and couldn’t stay but still didn’t make any attempt to ask for my number or even give his, such a jerk.
