Words formed in the air, shimmering like liquid silver: “To awaken, you must see yourself as the blood sees you.” Evelyn blinked. The letters seemed to float, twisting in shapes she couldn’t comprehend. A warmth spread through her veins, and suddenly, the room shifted. She wasn’t in the chamber anymore. She was standing in the forest, the same forest that had called her name countless times before.

**This is Book Three of the Guardians Trilogy. This book contains references to events that occurred in the first two books and spoilers for those books. How can I serve you?” Gesturing for the new arrival to rise to her feet, the queen said in a firm and steady tone, “Jassy, this is Esmerelda from the third dimension. She requires training to enhance her magical abilities.” The woman the queen had just called Jassy looked directly at me and smiled. “Her perimeter is full and healthy looking.” Queen Mila gave a knowing smile and a short nod. “I agree. Take her to the compound and work with her. She is to go on mission to find Melissa.”
