After entering the room, the space in the room was not as big as outside, and it was relatively crowded. Around the walls, there were almost all kinds of nest entrances similar to beehives. Almost all these nest entrances popped out several meters from the walls, so that the corridor between the two walls was less than one meter wide. Inside the nest entrance, there was a white thing that was neither egg nor rice, about the size of a finger. Along the way, more and more nest entrances appeared, almost filling up the whole inner space. But when they reached the deepest part of the house, everything suddenly changed.

Its beak and talons were free. "It's nest must be in that tree. Approach with caution." Tatsuya instructed. The Devourer's nest was down a hole in the middle of the huge tree. It was only accessible from the top and hidden from view thanks to the lush canopy of the tree. Upon reaching the nest, they realised that what was in the nest were not chicks like they feared but huge eggs amongst what could only be described as the aftermath of a disaster. There was a mix of dead and half-alive creatures of different sizes. There were even hints of hover ship wreckage among the mess.

"We’ll see what it’s like. Then we'll make a decision." Harlan grinned, clearly pleased with my answer. "Smart girl," he said, nodding to his men. "Let's move." Eagle’s Nest wasn't what I expected. It wasn’t some grand fortress, or a sprawling, guarded compound. It was a collection of old buildings, perched high on a ridge, surrounded by makeshift walls and barbed wire. There were people—more than I’d seen in months—moving about, some tending to gardens, others fixing up broken-down vehicles. It looked like a functioning, albeit rough, community.

Bjorn awoke before the first glint of sunlight angled up from beneath Kabutar, the easternmost of the seven floating nests. Disorientation sent a wave of excessive sensory surges rippling along the pedicel of his antennae. Although now receding, the remnants of a tangled, irritating dream stirred in the back of his mind. Surface dwellers gathered before a waterfall cluttered with flowing symbols, calculations, and worms. Grass slimed over with yellowed muck splotching a circle of sunbaked dirt. Behind the cascading veil of oddities, a woman—his mother as best Bjorn could remember her—

When the hole was ready, she dropped eggs one by one, like wet ping-pong balls, into the nest. The moon had come up and was shimmering over the sea. Before long there were half a dozen mother turtles on the beach. After a while, Anoushka tiptoed off to watch them. Guy watched her go and murmured, ‘She hasn’t moaned once this past hour. I’ll have to put it in the Guinness Book of Records' ‘She’ll remember this for a long time,’ she whispered back. ‘I know I will.’ But Anoushka was calling to them, in a loud, excited whisper. ‘Come and look!’

I can only focus on wanting to get them to our room, feeling the strongest urge to hide them away. “Once you’re settled with Roan and Gunnar I’ll make lunch,” Osric reassures me, following as I walk to the bedroom, as we enter, he goes straight to the closet. “That would be amazing, I can’t wait to go home to our real den,” I admit, crawling through the closed canopy laying the pups in the middle of my nest. I made my nest out of blankets and clothes that smelled of Embry and Osric. I curled up around my pups and whimper as Embry’s scent is growing weaker with each passing day.

“We don’t need to go into that.” “She is eternally finding little places to build nests around the home at Uyan Taesil,” Tarragon continued to Aien, ignoring me. “We find her in the strangest of places, little nooks padded with cushions and blankets, piles of books, and little treasures. Dragons have an instinct to find a secure location in which to horde, so it’s only natural and I don’t know why she’s embarrassed,” she frowned at me. “Do you have a horde?” Aien wondered.

These discarded remnants, once belonging to the ancient protectors, now serve as insulation and cushioning, forming a protective nest for the precious eggs. Meticulously arranged on this unique bedding, the 77 eggs emanate a sense of both fragility and hidden power. Each egg measures approximately 2 feet in length and 15 inches in diameter, elongated in shape to accommodate the growing hatchlings within. Their honeydew-colored surfaces, adorned with patches of green and blue, exude a gentle luminescence. The soft glow emanating from the eggs casts an ethereal light, further illuminating the chamber and enhancing its mystical ambiance.

The news was everywhere. So when I hurry to Christopher’s old office building, The Nest, my phone is still blowing up with notifications. I still can’t believe he did this. Ash who has been brought up to speed due to my mornings of eating breakfast alone, is sending lots of messages asking if it was true. “I can’t believe my first visit here is because I want to know if you did this.” I tell him but my eyes are looking around hungrily. Christopher’s brilliance exploded when he built this office. He had made it a nest, a with glass insides, that is so transparent it looks like there’s nothing there, just a nest made by a really giant bird.

Aurora gritted her teeth. ****** The next few days. Aurora spent all her energy trying to find the mysterious person on the island. She literally dug up the entire island. It really did give her a bit of a clue. She found a bird's nest in a coconut tree. There are six eggs inside the nest. One of them was fake. She found a hollow bamboo inside a bamboo forest with a bamboo worm inside. Yes, it was also fake. She casually used a rock and smashed one of the seagulls that always hovered in the sky above them.
