A chubby woman with glasses a little big for her face smiles at me politely, “Welcome ma'am, how may we be of any service to you today?” She asked kindly, smiling so much that I was creeped out. “Uhm, I'm here to see Roman. Roman Domino. We have a meeting " “Oh, what's your name?” “Ashanti Dunbar " I reply “Ah yes, Mr. Domino is expecting you, the penthouse is where you are headed "I nod and fake a smile. I'm a ball of nerves, my palms are sweating. I've never been one to be nervous because of a simple meeting. But we're talking about the man who killed my family, which also happens to be the man who makes my legs buckle.

Addie nodded, looking up at her big sister’s face. “You know how everyone loved Mama, and everyone did what she wanted them to do?” Addie nodded again, wiggling and getting as comfortable as she could in her sister’s arms. “Mama had a special gift. It’s called Shawishi. Do you know what that is?” Addie crinkled her nose, thinking. “Maybe. Is it one of the five gifts?” She vaguely remembered being taught about the sacred gifts but she thought that they had died out.

"Auntie Ruri, Mr. Ardi, uncle Ujang..." Cherry shouted out to all the workers of Langit house. "Yes, Miss," replied Ruri, the first who answered Cherry's call, uncle Ujang and Mr Ardi followed after that, and they walked in hurry. "What's up, miss? There's rats, is there? There's cockroaches, isn't there?" Mr Ardi was crowded himself, while Ujang looked at Cherty with a look for an explanation.

My nerves twisted tighter with every second. “The Alpha is here,” one guard whispered. All of them snapped to attention. A tall, imposing man strode past us and ascended to one of the higher seats. His presence filled the hall like a gathering storm. “I am Alpha Adrian,” he said, his voice deep and commanding. His sharp eyes swept over us. “What crimes have these ones committed?”

Rey grinned, quickly gathering the wood she'd dropped and the blanket she'd left behind, while Orion went to retrieve the rabbit. When they arrived at the campsite, a pregnant woman stood up quickly, alarm flashing across her face as her eyes fell on Orion. She clutched her belly protectively, moving closer to her husband. "This is my wife, Adah," Tristan said, resting a hand on her shoulder. "Adah, this is Rey and Benny. We met not far from here, and from what I gathered, they're also travelling through these parts." Adah's eyes softened when they met Rey's. "Nice to meet you," she said warmly.
