I am such an idiot. I’ve had this book in my library for an entire month before I decided to give this book a try and I am full of regrets. From beginning to end, this story has been fast past but very detailed, not jeopardizing the plot. I am in love with this book and intrigued by the plot

Sinner's Empire Series: Sin of Silence, A Silent Reckoning, Goodnight Sinners

Radik asked, his voice a deep accented baritone that sent waves of apprehension through Shaun. She glanced at Jozef who nodded, then looked back at Radik. "Where are you from? I might be able to understand your language too. I've travelled a lot." "The languages of my birth are French, Sangho and Arabic, but I also speak Amharic, Somalian and English." "Are you from the Central African Republic then, or Chad?" Radik stiffened, which caused his men to do the same. His gaze sharpened on her face as if seeing her for the first time. "How would you know this? You are a westerner, no?"

Sixty Days To Leave You

Sixty Days To Leave You

Fatima came to stand beside Sera near the lavender. “The sentence on my grandmother’s wall,” she said quietly. “She had it translated into Mooré. Not French. Not English. Mooré. The language she grew up in. The language she dreamed in.” She held Sera’s gaze. “She wanted the precision in the language that lived deepest in her.” Sera looked at the lavender. At the cutting taken for Accra years ago. At the argument that had been traveling since 1982 and had arrived in Mooré on a kitchen wall in Burkina Faso.

Tearing Off My Skin

I blush a little. “Kalisha means sorceress.” Obviously, I am nothing like a witch. But I have nothing against them. Witches are way powerful and clever than a lot of people give them credit. “Which part of Africa do you come from? Because when you spoke in a different language, it sounded so beautiful and unique.” This man is making me blush ooo. Okan mi ko le mu gbogbo adun yii ba. English translation: My heart can’t handle all of this sweetness.

"That's her...tribe?" "Yes. Dad spoke Dutch. I'm not good at it. There wasn't much reason to know how to speak it after my grandmother on my dad's side passed away. She was the only one who required we speak it. I'd wager I understand more than I can speak now." "Okay. So what else?" "Zulu, Afrikaans and Sotho. I know enough to get by in a handful of other languages." "How'd you learn so many?"
