The thought almost made me laugh. Almost. “You look like you need that breath.” I stiffened slightly and turned. A man approached with calm, steady steps. Tall, broad, younger than Alpha Jaron but still carrying authority in the way his shoulders stayed squared. His eyes were gentle and warm brown. He stopped two steps from me and gave a respectful nod. “I am Allen,” he said. “Beta of the Steel Fang pack.” His tone was polite, almost soothing after the blast of arrogance I had just escaped. I nodded back. “Doctor Kahlia Ford. Physical therapist. I handle Alpha Jaron’s case.”

I was a devil that loved being a devil, and I wore my horns proudly. After two glasses of whiskey and a poker game with Sel, who arrived an hour prior, Tony finally walked in. I watched him make his way to the bar. I hated how innocent he looked. "He is here, boss. Want me to help?" Sel asked. "Nah. I got this. One more game." I said to her, and she nodded. I won in three moves. I sauntered towards him. "Alpha Tony." He looked up from his phone. "Alpha Gerald." He stood, shaking my hands.

Alexa rolled her eyes at the drama, well she was happy that the once miss fatty cleared her from the stupid alliance her grandfather was about to set up with the Brown's.. “You have kids? Not one, not two, three. A whole three at once.” “Yes, I do,” I signaled over to the minions who wouldn't leave a recovering Bree alone. Only I have the ability to go after her life.” That introduction wasn't what we all expected, it sent everyone into spirals of laughs. “I totally agree with him,” Alexander said, making us go for another round of laughter.
