“Come with me.” I stared at him. “Where?” “Home.” I wanted to take his hand. God, I wanted to. But something felt wrong. “Ronan?” He smiled. “It's me.” I stepped closer. Then I noticed his eyes. They weren't gray. They were black. I stumbled backward. “You're not him.” His smile disappeared. The forest began burning. The trees turned to ash. The figure in front of me changed. Azael. Alastor's face was dumbfounded when he heard July's question. Alastor is already thinking about serious matters, July scares him and worries for nothing. Then it turns out that there is one inner conflict that looks like a joke in this situation.

Those eyes reminded her of everything brown — the coffee. Crinkles usually formed underneath and beside his eyes whenever he cackled. Those crinkles got her thinking if he was older than he looked, because, asides the crinkles, his porcelain skin always shone with youthfulness and vibrance, the kind of vibrance that radiated from a healthy teenager. A deep voice spoke, and I froze. I turned my face to the side to see a man, staring out the window, his back to me. He was tall, blonde hair brushed back, and long sleeve shirt that hugged his body tightly. But what caught my attention was his physique— he looked oddly familiar, even though his voice was not. "Who are you?" I managed to ask. "How long have you been here? Why am I drugged?" I heard him laugh, and the sound send chills down my spine. "How many questions do you have for me, sweetheart?" Now he turned sideways. "If you must know, I am Alastor."

“Not so fast.” We look up and see Alastor in his human form. He has a malicious grin as I see his eyes turn red. He is going to cook us alive. As he prepares to throw a fireball at us he is struck in the shoulder with an ice spear. He growls and glares at Maliyah. “Wait your turn my dear niece.”

Alastor moved through it all like he'd been here a thousand times, -–well he probably does— leading us down alleys and through shadowed passages. Finally, he stopped in front of a nondescript door in a back street. "Here," he said, knocking three times. The door opened a crack. A woman's face appeared. She had sharp features, dark eyes and a scar running down her cheek. "Alastor," she said flatly. "You've got some nerve." "Good to see you too, Sera." He smiled. "Can we come in?" She looked past him at the rest of us, her gaze lingering on me.

“Or are you just wanting to flirt? I can leave you alone if that is the case.” ‘ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?,’ my wolf barks, piercing his claws into the walls of my mind, triggering my eyes to close shortly, before I can subdue the pain and force them to open again. I really don’t want to seem like the creep here. “Oh,” General Alastor laughs in an annoying manner, and I scrunch up my face. “No, no. I was meaning to come and pick you up to show you the newest results of our investigation.”
