It’d be best if you avoided him.” I turned to Adrian with a frown. “How do you know this?” Adrain raised an eyebrow in mockery, but his eyes were soft. “I am the future King Alpha, Harper. I have my spies everywhere.”

She herself, however, stayed right beside Kaze, having no intentions of walking away; Albert too. “Kaze… Huh?” Kent went up to Kaze. He nodded at Miru and then wanted to start talking but then he was surprised by Albert’s presence. “You are… Albert Hiden, ex-chief commander of the South River Strategic Department?” The mayor of Riverbank had power and authority equal to a deputy governor, so Kent was considered one of the big shots in the South River State political scene. He met Albert in person before, but since both of them were from different fields, one a politician and the other a high-ranking soldier, they had no chance to interact and were not family.
