I launched upward, carrying her with me. Her scream tore into the night. At the apex of the jump, where gravity hesitated for a fraction of a second, I released her. More like I threw her. Nobody came to help. By the time I reached the bottom, I was a total sympathetic mess. My body ached everywhere—my arms, my legs, and my back. My clothes were drenched, clinging to my skin. First I wobble on my feet when I try to reach higher and grab the tampon which of course makes me lose balance, I try to keep myself from falling by holding onto the woman’s shoulders but that is an even more terrible idea because she obviously hates me and wants me off her body as soon as possible. I know this because she pushes my hand away which has me reeling back. But I’m not one to give up so easily so I grab her shirt and we both tumble down to the ground. At least learning about Gravity, Momentum and Kinematics would help distract me from my thoughts. The morning classes went by in a blur with me mostly spacing out of each and every class I had.
